Thought it was time for a new logo design for my 20th Anniversary of shooting weddings! Can’t believe two decades have already passed. Hundreds of weddings later and I still get excited and nervous on the day of. Can’t wait for my 20th season with some many great clients and working with some of my favorite planners and photographers. Here’s to 2024!!

Hey There!!
I’m not a big fan of showing my face on my business page, but realize most brides and grooms and other professionals might like to meet the face behind the camera, so here it is!
I’m an introvert by nature so being behind the lens is more comfortable for me than being in front…as you can see from this photo my friend shot of me when we were out in Santa Barbara.

Being an artist gives me the eye for capturing the best moments. I’m down to earth, easy to get along with and like to let things flow naturally. Some of the best moments happen in the in-betweens…if that makes sense.

With all this time we have been gifted I decided to use some of it to help with this shortage of masks. We can see from China, Italy and so on, this pandemic is going to continue to exhaust the medical community of their resources. As Forbes.com put out the call the other day: “Calling All People Who Sew And Make: You Can Help Make Masks For 2020 Healthcare Worker PPE Shortage “ No, these are not the requirements of an N95 but if you read the article and do a little research you will find that these people need help. Here’s a part of the article and you will find a few links to patterns to see some yourself.....”If you think that a handmade N95-type mask cannot be used, think again. Even the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a place for them — in times of crisis, like the one we are in right now. On the CDC page: Strategies for Optimizing the Supply of Facemasks, they explain that as a last resort, a homemade mask is acceptable. Frankly, we are at that stage right now. Here’s how they explain it in the Crisis Strategy section, When No Facemasks Are Available, Options Include:

“Healthcare personnel (HCP) use of homemade masks:

In settings where facemasks are not available, HCP might use homemade masks (e.g., bandana, scarf) for care of patients with COVID-19 as a last resort. However, homemade masks are not considered PPE, since their capability to protect HCP is unknown. Caution should be exercised when considering this option. Homemade masks should ideally be used in combination with a face shield that covers the entire front (that extends to the chin or below) and sides of the face.”

It is possible that the government and manufacturers will ramp up in a wartime-like effort, but the reinforcement is more likely to come from the people. Millions of masks are needed. People are starting to make them and it is going to be a big deal.”
