Dear Flower Friends and Community, 🏵️❇️

After an incredible year and a half of full-time flowering with M&G, I'm embarking on a new adventure this spring. I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be returning to the design industry on a full-time basis. While I'll miss the daily hustle of floral creations, I'm eager to dive back into the world of building and design.🤩

Running a small business has been a rewarding journey, filled with ups and downs. I'm immensely grateful for the support and camaraderie I've found within this beautiful community. But fear not, my journey doesn't end here.✨

I'm transitioning into a weekend floral warrior 💪🌷, focusing on elopement flowers, special holiday floral designs, and fantastic classes with our local partners! Please note that April will be the last subscription delivery for a while as I adjust to my new schedule.

But don't worry, I'll be back in May for two special Day classes with & 💐💐Stay tuned for details on those classes, tickets dropping soon!

During the next few months, I'll be busy growing flowers, working on designs, and prototyping foam-free floral fabrication (yes, I'm learning to weld!). My goal is to provide our local florists with access to locally made bespoke steel arches, moongates, and pedestals for their floral designs. Design + Flowers = Endless possibilities for the members of the looking for locally made products! 🏵️❇️

I'll keep you all updated as I slowly bring my services back up and adjust them to my new balance.

Winter blues? I needed a pick-me-up with all this cold weather coming and a burst of summer nostalgia! Today, I brought the gorgeous smells of tulips, stock, hyacinth, and narcissus into my studio – a fragrant memory of warmer days. These scents, a gift from California and British Columbia growers, instantly transport me to my grandma's garden and sun-soaked fields. 🌷✨

PS… Do you know how to condition and prevent narcissus from harming your other cut flowers in your arrangement? Let me know if you have questions, and I’ll do a little story for you!

It's hard to believe, considering the cold and snow that might be coming our way this weekend, but in just over a month, some of our wonderful floral farmers will have fresh flowers ready for us. The hurdles we faced were not taken lightly, and I extend my heartfelt sympathies to those who found themselves navigating through rough waters.💚

Now, as we stand at the threshold of 2024, let us usher in the new year with hearts filled with love, gratitude, and a renewed sense of hope. In these trying times, it is essential to come together and foster connections that build safe, resilient, and supportive local and global communities.🫶

For me, the act of giving and service has been a beacon of light amidst the uncertainties. I have found solace through the art of flowers and sustainable practices. I am committed to upholding the principles of the Slow Flower Society in my floral practice, ensuring that every bloom carries beauty, a story of responsible cultivation, and a commitment to our planet.🌎🌿

Even though my small business may not be vast, I am grateful that, with your support, we could put aside 10% of our end-of-year November through December sales. As a result, we proudly donated $250 to the International Rescue Committee. It's a small contribution, but I believe in the collective power of many small acts to create significant change.💖

I am excited to extend this commitment to you in the spirit of the new year. My goal is to bring you flowers and an experience rooted in sustainability and mindful living. Through floral arrangements inspired by the tenets of the Slow Flower Movement, I hope to share a piece of beauty that echoes a larger message of caring for our environment.🌷
