Deep Contour is back with another show, this time at Cafe Racer with those crispy Voids! This time around we are proud to announce our first residents night, and announce our new resident Shaun Whitcher. Expect a night of the deepest grooves that heal the spirit and inspire community connection. After two rockin headliner parties, we felt it’s time to take it back a notch and have a night with just the crew. Deep house is in our DNA, and we intend to provide that underground sound we all love. Here’s your map, now enter the deep! Welcome to the third Deep Contour party, Resident’s Night!

Artist Spotlight! Simone BG!

On direct support for tomorrow's show is the local superstar herself, Simone BG. We are so lucky to have Simone on this line up, she is arguably one of the most in demand selectors on the scene, and rightfully so. She blends everything from emotional melodic tunes, to heavy hitting techno. we knew right away we wanted her on this lineup, considering how big of an influence Mihai has has on her journey! Now she is setting the tone for the maestro, an honor within itself that no doubt she will slay with perfection.

Over the last two years, Simone BG has made some serious waves in the Seattle dance music scene. Drawn to the deeper side of house and techno, Simone is known for her dark, moody energy woven seamlessly with haunting, ethereal melodies. Her style is evocative and captivating, highlighting the intricate elements of her selections. She joined the Studio 4/4 family in 2021 as one of their newest residents and has played for many local events including Habitat, Flammable, LOST, Uniting Souls, Shameless, Noise Complaint, Depth, Caravan, Soft Option, and Reflect.

Simone has also had the pleasure of supporting many international headliners, including Hot Since 82, Green Velvet, Frankey & Sandrino, Franky Wah, Eli Nissan, DJ Holographic, Matthias Meyer, Musumeci, Sultan & Shepard, Andrew Bayer, Friend Within, Nala, Denney, Lubelski, Pleasurekraft, Juliet Fox, Guy Mantzur, and Jeremy Olander. She also opened Insomniac's first Day Trip music festival in Seattle in 2022, featuring Tony H, Anabel Englund, Anna Lunoe, James Hype, Lee Foss, Purple Disco Machine, Duke Dumont, and Kaytranada. Simone returned to Seattle Center this September to perform at Seattle’s 50th anniversary of Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival alongside artists including Fatboy Slim, Maya Jane Coles, Zhu, and A-Trak.

Born and raised on Capitol Hill, Simone’s love for Seattle is matched only by her love of dance music, and she is dedicated to bringing the two together in new and exciting ways.

Artist spotlight! Suemomo and the Sentiment Talent troupe!

These amazing performers will be at the forefront of visual consciousness at our event this Friday, creating a mystical and beautiful atmosphere with dance and crowd interaction! We are in for a real treat, and so lucky to have these performers at the show.


Is a collective of multidisciplinary movement artists. This diverse troupe of performers imbues an air of warmth and whimsy, encouraging all audiences to groove with an alluring nuance of liberation. Embodying jazz, hiphop, intrinsic lyrical and free form stylings while serving characteristics of every possible archetype under the sun. This team of creatives prides itself on leaving lasting impressions of exchange through dance as purveyors of the vibe along side various musical artists nationwide.

Our next artist spotlight is Restless Planet's very own Interwave Surfer! Michael is one of the best community organizers I know, as he has scheduled countless pre funks for so many events, and tries to uplift every DJ and crew in the deep house scene. He's helped Deep Contour so much, and it is much appreciated as we are extremely fresh in the scene. Mike is also a fantastic DJ, he has made so many people in the scene become better, and we're glad to collaborate with him on this one-of-kind show.

Interwave Surfer, a.k.a. is a Seattle-based DJ and producer who proudly calls the Emerald City of Seattle his home.

As a DJ, Interwave Surfer is inspired by celestial and other-worldly phenomena. He brings a spacy, sci-fi, and futurism-inspired sound to his sets, incorporating deep, minimal, techy, and breaky styles of music to create an ethereal feeling on the floor.

Playing some of Seattle’s top house and techno events, including Routine, DAZED, Studio 4/4, LOST, Makes Me Human, Soft Option, and Noise Complaint, has shown Interwave Surfer has what it takes to keep Seattle’s discerning dance crowds moving and grooving.

Our next artist spotlight for our upcoming show is Lucky Cheese aka Jessica Sandoval

Jess is the definition of groove. She came on to the scene with a drive and passion, and quickly gained the attention of her favorite crews. Her sets are funky, groovy, and deep. Everyone lives seeing her shining smile and friendly presence, and we are proud to have her play!

Jessica, known as Lucky Cheese, is a Seattle-based DJ who infuses the local music scene with a boundless passion for the underground. Influenced by luminaries like Julie Herrera, Kadeejah Streets, Pezzner and Wesley Holmes, Lucky Cheese weaves a sonic tapestry fueled by intention and heart, drawing from her culturally diverse roots in Chile and Washington. Lucky Cheese's sets feature soul, funk, and leftfield beats, merging tech house, Afro house, deep and minimal house to create dynamic and immersive experiences for her audience. She currently holds residencies with Train Car House Party and Tremulant.

Artist spotlight: Shaun Whitcher.

Shaun is one of those guys who just gets it. Every set he plays has that next level groove factor, huge basslines and solid rhythm. As a DJ, talented producer, and supporter of the local scene, Shaun is someone everyone knows and respects. This B2B between Erozion and Shaun could be compared to a Jedi and Padawan taking on the decks. Don't miss this epic match up at 10pm November 10!

Shaun Whitcher was introduced to the underground music rave scene in 1993 and started DJing shortly after in 1995. Working at Platinum Records Seattle from 2000-2003 connected Shaun with other artists and local promoters and DJ'd events at NAF Studios, Club FX, and at various underground afterhours and clubs. Shaun held a weekly residency on Seattle’s Groovetech Internet radio/livestream broadcast. In 2003, Shaun left Platinum Records to work for Rane Corporation as their Technical DJ Expert and in 2004 helped launch Serato’s Scratch Live DJ program. From 2004-2014, Shaun spearheaded Rane’s evolvement with Seattle’s legendary Decibel Music Festival. Shaun was one of the designers of Rane’s infamous MP2015 rotary DJ mixer released in 2015. Fast forward 8 years to now, almost 30 years since his first rave, and you’ll find Shaun doing what he loves, dancing, promoting events, or behind the decks playing his favorite tracks.

Well the time has come! We now announce the second Deep Contour extravaganza, the next installment of sonic conjuration, and perhaps one of the best deep house talents of our generation. On November 10 Deep Contour is proud to collaborate with Restless Planet, bringing the legend Mihai Popoviciu to Cherry Seattle. Mihai’s music is played everywhere you go to dance in Seattle, and beyond. Many of us are inspired by his tunes, and we now have the opportunity to see him perform in our own city! The idea of bringing Mihai to Seattle has been stewing for some time, and I want to give a special shout out to Parker Mills for connecting us with the right people to make this happen. Thank you to Mike Polyakov for helping me on this event, everything has gone so smoothly so far, and it’s a testament to his true professionalism. Thank you also to Gianna Spangler for working so hard on this beautiful flyer, it is quite the work of art. This event is surely leveling up the Deep Contour experience to another level, we aim to provide a sense of opulence and sensory richness in addition to the crisp Danley sound at Cherry. Our guests will find the perfect blend of community member DJ sets, an extended top tier DJ set from Mihai, and even visual and performing arts. Come one, come all, experience Deep Contour & Restless Planet present: MIHAI POPOVICIU!!!! 🤩
