Artist Spotlight! Simone BG!
On direct support for tomorrow's show is the local superstar herself, Simone BG. We are so lucky to have Simone on this line up, she is arguably one of the most in demand selectors on the scene, and rightfully so. She blends everything from emotional melodic tunes, to heavy hitting techno. we knew right away we wanted her on this lineup, considering how big of an influence Mihai has has on her journey! Now she is setting the tone for the maestro, an honor within itself that no doubt she will slay with perfection.
Over the last two years, Simone BG has made some serious waves in the Seattle dance music scene. Drawn to the deeper side of house and techno, Simone is known for her dark, moody energy woven seamlessly with haunting, ethereal melodies. Her style is evocative and captivating, highlighting the intricate elements of her selections. She joined the Studio 4/4 family in 2021 as one of their newest residents and has played for many local events including Habitat, Flammable, LOST, Uniting Souls, Shameless, Noise Complaint, Depth, Caravan, Soft Option, and Reflect.
Simone has also had the pleasure of supporting many international headliners, including Hot Since 82, Green Velvet, Frankey & Sandrino, Franky Wah, Eli Nissan, DJ Holographic, Matthias Meyer, Musumeci, Sultan & Shepard, Andrew Bayer, Friend Within, Nala, Denney, Lubelski, Pleasurekraft, Juliet Fox, Guy Mantzur, and Jeremy Olander. She also opened Insomniac's first Day Trip music festival in Seattle in 2022, featuring Tony H, Anabel Englund, Anna Lunoe, James Hype, Lee Foss, Purple Disco Machine, Duke Dumont, and Kaytranada. Simone returned to Seattle Center this September to perform at Seattle’s 50th anniversary of Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival alongside artists including Fatboy Slim, Maya Jane Coles, Zhu, and A-Trak.
Born and raised on Capitol Hill, Simone’s love for Seattle is matched only by her love of dance music, and she is dedicated to bringing the two together in new and exciting ways.
