Restocked these bad boys today. Our meatballs have been a favorite since Forchetta/Bastoni. They are made with pork, rice, herbs, garlic & all the special seasonings. Put them in your Banh Mi or add them to your salad, noodles of Jok. The tastiest balls!!

Perfect day for a Banh mi bowl. All the goodness of our Banh Mi served over cabbage with our fish sauce dressing, it’s GF! Choose your protein: marinated tofu, turmeric chicken, meatballs, hoisin pork shoulder, avocado or 6 minute egg, can’t go wrong with any of them! Ask for it vegan!

Most of our items come with your choice of protein, this my friend is one of them…from day one it’s been all about the Hoisin Pork. Pork shoulder cut down into strips, marinated in Hoisin & 5 spice and roasted until it’s perfectly tender. Add this to your Banh Mi or Banh Mi bowl, Nutty Noods, Joy Bungalow Salad or Jok.
Other options: avocado, tofu, 6 minute egg, turmeric chicken & meatballs.

Ok friends…looks like Sunday the 28th will be our last day of service, just due to inventory….so heads up come and get it! Also please be aware that we will have a limited menu as we run out of items, obviously we will serve fried chicken sandwiches until the bitter end.

On another note…who wants to adopt our beautiful, large, healthy fiddle leaf plant?! You will need to move it yourself on Monday (29th) or Tuesday (30th) and you must be one of our customers who will take it home to enjoy, I would but my house will be full with all the other plants and I want this baby to thrive. If you are interested comment “I want that plant!” And I’ll put you in a lottery for a drawing Sunday evening. I also have spider plant babies for the taking, as an added bonus these came from my grandmother Irene’s plants, so they are real special. And I might give away a few cuttings of my prayer plant if you come by and ask nicely.

Big Announcement:
As of April 29th we will be CLOSING our Cotati spot. Wednesday was my birthday, my gift to myself this year is embracing change! This move feels right, even though we have a thriving business the cost of doing it is very high and requires too much from me to be sustainable.
So new things on the horizon….
We will be keeping the Sebastopol spot open and offering more food options there, including Plate Lunches & some of your favorites from our Cotati menu that we are able to execute in the tiny space. Sebastopol will be closed the first week of May while we make some changes. And although it’s always difficult to let something as beautiful as Cotati has been go, I’m excited for what’s next!

In addition to keeping our little Bungalow in Sebastopol going I will be joining forces with Brandon & Shona of Rocker Oysterfeller’s to open the re-envisioned Lucas Wharf in Bodega Bay. This is an opportunity for me to explore my southern roots, embrace a new project & be creative with a new menu. I spent my younger and many of my teenage years in Bodega Bay, my mother & father both worked at the Tides, I attended Bodega Bay school in kindergarten & first grade and still remember old man Diekmann, so it’s a bit of a homecoming.

As for Joy Bungalow, don’t count us out! our Sebastopol spot will continue to operate and grow, and I would love to find the right spot and re-open a full sit down Bungalow again in the near future. For now, we’ve got two weekends left to serve you at 101 E Cotati Ave, so come by to say Goodbye and Good Luck!

Thank you to everyone that has supported us, I will sure miss seeing all your happy faces eating our food. I’m forever grateful for being allowed to bring you Joy via your stomach.
