The Roving Peregrine Theatre Club is hosting a Halloween Costume party for ages 13-18 on October 12th from 630-9pm. Entry is by donation and all donations will go to the Theatre Clubs planned activities. There will be music, a costume contest with prizes, and snacks provided.

‘The Boy With the Wooden Heart’ is a theatre workshop for ages 8-18. Shows will go up on April 4, 5, 11, and 12 at 7:30pm and on the 6th and 13th at 2:30. Mandatory Auditions will be held on January 26th at 4pm. Rehearsals will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5pm-7pm. Rehearsals will start on Feb. 4th. Tech week is mandatory and runs Sunday March 30th from 3-8 and then 5-7 throughout the week until the opening of the show on Friday. For any questions please email [email protected]

Show 1: The Three Husbands of Sarah Tilbury By: Connor Casey. Directed By Andrew Reed.
CHARACTERS:
Archibald Tilbury (M, 50’s-70’s): A retired Navy officer and widower, desperate to find a suitor for
his eldest daughter.
Lily Tilbury (F, 18-25): A dreamer and romantic, slightly detached from reality.
Sarah Tilbury (F, 25-35): A beautiful and intelligent woman…with a dark and dour demeanor.
Captain Covington: (M, 30-45): An arrogant Navy captain, looking to settle down.

Show 2: 0º Alcestis By: Ian Downes. Directed By: Tim Vinson

Characters:
Adam- the husband of Allie, a prolific writer of short horror stories, agoraphobic, paranoid,
asexual, racist, with twisted ideals of how the world works, and perhaps how it should work

Dr. Muñoz- professor at Miskatonic University, intrigued by the works of Adam, he’s found a way to cheat Death, clothed in purple, “a man of birth, cultivation..high-bred”

Allie- the wife of Adam, friends with jazz musicians, an immigrant by heart, but not by birth.This is her second loveless marriage, and won’t be her last, but she had hoped for more this time.

Death: a very capable black man. Dressed as a dapper gentleman, though doesn’t have to be1920s fashion. He seems to live above the time of the 1920s, the specter of death for America. He holds no love for the living, especially those outside his reach.

Once again, it's the 24-Hour Theaterfest!
Save the dates: June 14-15, 2024
Open to all aged 10 to 110. Everyone who auditions is automatically part of the festival. In a nutshell, the schedule looks like this:
Friday, 7:00 p.m. Audition at the Black Box (113 S. Princess, Shepherdstown)
Once the actors leave, the director/playwright teams will divvy up the talent.
Overnight, three playwrights will work into the wee hours custom writing a script for their actors.
Saturday, 8:00 a.m. Arrive at the Black Box and meet the rest of your creative team. Rehearse all day.
Saturday, 7:00 p.m. Curtain! An audience gathers to watch three brand-new one-acts - cast, conceived, written, and rehearsed, all in 24 hours!
Reception in the lobby afterwards.
