Licensed & insured! Affordable floral design for weddings, events, and special occasions. I started Vahz Floral Design after completing 36 hours of floral design courses at Greenville Tech working under Ms. Dolories Whaley, a 40+ year veteran of the floral industry. I initially took the classes because I wanted to do the flowers for my daughter's wedding. At the wedding, I received so
much positive feedback and enjoyed working with flowers so much, I decided I didn't want to stop! I continued my "STEM education" through online classes with the fabulous Kelly Perry of Team Flower. Currently, from our home based studio, Vahz Floral Design handles small to medium sized weddings and events, and designs custom arrangements for holidays and special occasions by appointment. We are based in the Upstate of South Carolina, but if you are an East Tennessee bride and are interested in our services, please feel free to contact me. I would love to do an occasional Tennessee wedding!

I was honored to create the bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages for the wedding of the niece of one of my best and oldest friends. What a stunning bride she was! I remember the night she was born. Wishing her a lifetime of happiness with her husband.♥️

Congratulations Stevi & Thomas! Yesterday was the last wedding for Vahz Floral. It was an honor to do the wedding of the little curly haired girl I have watched grow up. Stevi and my daughter have been best friends since 2nd grade and she has always felt like family.
I’m grateful for all the brides who’ve trusted me with their special days over the past few years. It’s been a wild ride! I could have never imagined how much hard work goes into making a bride’s dream come true before being a part of it myself. Please be grateful for your local florists! Believe me when I tell you they work very hard to put smiles on our faces!

I’ve had the honor of creating wedding bouquets for both of my daughters. With my eldest, it was the first wedding I’d ever done and I had to make multiple bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnières and the like. It was challenging but definitely a labor of love. Yesterday, I presented my youngest daughter with her bouquet. With a little more experience under my belt and a lot fewer pieces to make for her elopement, I really had time to focus on the details. The bouquet was wrapped in a handkerchief that belonged to her late beloved grandpa. The handkerchief was pinned with a brooch from my own wedding bouquet and a locket that belonged to her great grandmother was added as a finishing touch. Her groom’s boutonnière had a shell casing from the 21 gun salute at my father’s funeral. Next up- my granddaughter’s wedding and I have many years to work on my skills before then! Looking forward to the professional pictures from yesterday by

I’m very thankful for all of the brides and grooms who trusted me on their special day in 2019. In 2020, I will be spending lots of weekends with my new granddaughter, so I’ll be taking a very limited number of small events this year. Congratulations to - my first bride-to-be of 2020!

I’ve encountered a lot of beautiful roses in my life, but little Laynie Rose is the sweetest of them all. She was born at 12:10 this morning and I am positively smitten!

Sometimes it takes me a little while to get caught up on Facebook notifications, and I just noticed this one from a March wedding today! 😍
How stunning is is this couple!! We are still in awe of how beautiful, Lindsey and Taylor’s wedding day was!
Can we also pause for a moment, and take in how incredible this bouquet is from Vahz Floral Design!! The florals absolutely complimented Lindsey’s classic beauty and poise!
We did an enchanted garden theme for my daughter’s baby shower today and it was so much fun to put together. I’ve been collecting garden statues and spray painting them gold for weeks!

It’s not very often I have a bride & bridesmaid look just alike (in fact, this is a first for me!), but yesterday Colleen had her twin sister Lauren by her side on her special day. Colleen was a positively stunning bride and I loved getting to know her and her mom throughout the planning process. Shout out to my awesome designer Erica Landin for all of her help! I could not have done it without her!

I’m in love with Markie Walden’s pictures from Jasmine & Jay’s gorgeous May wedding! Special thanks to my team- Erica Landin, Kierstan Jade Yancey & Makayla King for their help!
I had to sit on this post for a minute because I had so many things I wanted to say about these two, especially that gorgeous bride you see in the photos. So many of my past brides (and couples) are considered friends and I stay in touch with them frequently – it’s just the best part of my job. ...

My name is Misty Boyes and I’m the owner and designer at Vahz. I developed a passion for floral design while doing the flowers for my daughter’s wedding in October of 2017.
To prepare for the wedding, I completed 36 hours of floral design courses at Greenville Tech working under Ms. Dolories Whaley, a 40+ year veteran of the floral industry. I have continued my "STEM education" (as I like to call it) through online classes with the fabulous Kelly Perry of Team Flower.
I was delighted to receive so much positive feedback after my daughter’s wedding! The photographer, of Alexis Caroline Photography, said that of all the weddings she had photographed, my flowers were the best she’d seen and that I should consider doing it professionally. Soon after, I created Vahz Floral, LLC, aka, Vahz. I wanted a one word, catchy name that was loosely connected to floral design and came up with Vahz, which is a play on the alternate pronunciation of vase.
Currently, from our home based studio in Simpsonville, South Carolina, Vahz handles small to medium sized weddings and events, and designs custom arrangements for holidays and special occasions by appointment.
While I still hold a full-time job as a paralegal at a law firm in downtown Greenville, floral design truly is my passion and I devote my evenings and weekends to my clients, and often have friends and family by my side when I need helping hands. I love meeting with clients and learning about their dream wedding, and most of all, helping make that dream a reality. Click here to complete a short questionnaire to get started with the process.
Attention: Tennessee brides - especially those of you living in and around Oneida and Scott County - although we are based in the Upstate of South Carolina, I spend a lot of time in the East Tennessee area and would love to do the occasional Tennessee wedding!
