The South County Balloon Festival is one of Rhode Island's most popular summer events, featuring Hot Air Balloons, crafters, carnival rides, food vendors, live music, fireworks and lots of other family fun and entertainment.

Our Story

The South County Balloon Festival is one of Rhode Island's most popular summer events, featuring Hot Air Balloons, crafters and retail booths, carnival rides, food vendors, live music, car shows, and lots of other family fun and entertainment.

What you may not know, is that the event is run by a team of dedicated volunteers. The Rotary Club of Wakefield, RI organizes this multi-day event, hires balloonists, coordinates entertainment, booths and food vendors, and spends countless hours making sure this weekend is safe, fun and entertaining for all.
