See that gorgeous board peaking out? My husband made it😍 In fact he makes all the boards for Procrastin’s Table.

🌹It’s one of my favorite things about this little business: working with my husband on figuring out the sizes I need for upcoming orders, going to the hardware store to find the perfect boards(because they are not all straight y’all!), shoving it in our mini van which is like installing a car seat 🤪 and then watching him cut, sand and cure the boards to make them perfect. I love the whole process ❤️

🍊Creating boards when certain food items are hard to find due supply issues and inflation is definitely a challenge… a fruit, meat or cheese could be available one week and not the next🤨 Some stores will not stock certain items anymore because to buy and resell that item like a charcuterie meat is cost prohibitive I.e one meat I used to buy was $12.99lb but now is $17.99lb😞 a year later…that’s a huge price jump for small businesses to swallow sometimes.

The upside is it’s never boring work to find the best quality and it’s always fruitful😜🍇🍓🫐

Posts have been far and few since Christmas because soaking up time with the family was much needed after the holidays, and then we jumped into catering a dinner for 35 which was oh so fun and doing orders here and there. So it’s been quite busy behind the scenes although quiet of IG.

💫It’s been a hot minute since I have posted because life! Here is a brief update👇 👶We welcomed number 5, a baby girl, in August. Cue all the things a rainbow baby brings 💕 🚚We moved to the St. Louis area in June for my husbands job as the founding headmaster at @chestertonacademystl and to be near both our families for the first time in our marriage. The kids have absolutely loved seeing their aunts, uncles and cousins more than once a year! 🧀 Now that life is “settling down“ (right🤪) I have started to accept client’s and am very excited for the adventure of building a home here and getting my catering/special events business going again in a new area.😍

🎄Hot Chocolate and Dessert Bar for a Progressive Dinner for 20. See I don’t always do Charcuterie and cheese boards! 😂 🥂A Progressive Dinner is when one couple hosts hors d’oeuvres, another hosts dinner, and another hosts dessert. Usually it’s in the same neighborhood and you can walk to each others houses. It’s super fun and a wonderful way to celebrate your community and friendships💫 We made the desserts(baking is my secret passion 🤫) and a luscious hot chocolate with hints of cinnamon and vanilla.
