Tampa, who is she? To help answer that question, the flower bike took us through a botanical portal exploring Tampa’s past, present, and future. Thank you to everyone who came out to create bouquets to ponder and celebrate our fair city.
💐
We used native flowers and foliage to represent the past, back before Tampa was Tampa. Then we included some conventional cut flowers (80% flown in from overseas!) to fill out the bouquets. Finally, lots of locally grown, heat tolerant flowers for a climate conscious bouquet of the future.

Big love to @hccfl_artgalleries and their incredible team for putting on such a rich event. The other artists were spectacular and I was so happy to be in such fantastic company.
🦋
So much appreciation for our incredible host @hotelhaya They went above and beyond to help make the event a success.

The assignment was to create a floral design inspired by a work of art. I was given the culture-altering photograph Earth, taken by Apollo 8 astronaut William Alison Anders.
🌎
It honestly felt a little risky to put forth a floral design with a single stem. But I just couldn’t imagine any other design that would have evoked the same feeling of beauty and awe, highlighting the vastness of our solar system.

We’re just on a delicate flower, y’all. Everyone you’ve ever loved, or ever will love. Just sharing the same tiny corner of the universe.

This was the 25th annual Art in Bloom by @thestuartsociety at the @mfastpete 🖼️ It’s a wonderful spring tradition that I’m already looking forward to for next year.

I really enjoyed designing contrasting floral and edible elements from my garden and local farms. The delicate, airy ammi with the rough juicy mulberries. Whimsical blanket flower with sprawling tomatoes. Rough lacinato kale with bouncy umbrellas of dill flowers. A floral dream good enough to eat.

My fav bouquets of 2023 were the ones that really represented the spirit of the garden- textural, lots of movement, and a little bit wild. Happy New Year! #florist #local #tampa #flowers #bridalbouquet #organic #wedding #garden #newyear #2023 #happynewyear #nye
Flower hammering continues to be one of my favorite flower crafts. It’s such a joy to set the table, then walk beside everyone in their artful exploration. Thanks for having me at your beautiful studio @mkdsinc 💚 Send me a DM to schedule your own private workshop. 🌸

These are the happy faces of people who have found their people. I can never get enough flowers. I always feel like I’m just scratching the surface, but today I got to spend some quality time with other Florida flower growers who live and breathe flowers too! And it feels like I finally ate a really good meal, I’m satiated. What a wonderful way to gather and connect before the planting season starts, um, tomorrow. Cheers to a bountiful season!
