Bet you did not know post:

Growing up, my mother “forced” me to take piano lessons. A chore that I hated, each afternoon the 30 minutes of practice.

Later in high school, (late 80s early 90s) being a boy and playing music, especially a piano was about the furthest thing from cool, you could be. However, under my mom’s prodding I excelled, went to several tournaments and won awards.

I went on to be our church pianist after college, and performed at both weddings and funerals, some of you on here reading, I performed for your weddings.

As my parents died, the piano became my get away, my solace spot, a place I spent hours each evening, playing and escaping the stress, pain; my own mind.

With everything going on this last month I have considered investing into another one, creating my spot again, having a music escape pod in my Home.
