Year ✌🏽 working with Wabash First United Methodist Church and this year we brought the outdoors in! 🌸

Today kicks off their VBS and I just know they’re going to have the most fun because so much thought and energy was put into this experience for them! I am extremely grateful to have been apart!

Did you know that I do not require the use of my panels for panel installation? If you would rather provide the panels I am more than willing to install balloons on them!

However, if you’d rather rent them from me so you don’t have to worry about clean up & where to store them, then you know I have you covered! 😉

I have a big ask today…

If Magic by Monica has ever worked with you would you mind taking a couple minutes and leaving a review, maybe even share some of your pictures!

I want to make sure when possible new clients check out my page they are seeing first hand reviews from actual clients! This doesn’t just help me but it helps them feel safe in the decision to book me & I can’t tell you how important it is to book someone you trust nowadays! It’s been brought to my attention that a local business has some pretty strong feelings about charging 100s of dollars for balloon work just for them to be popped.
While I was going to just let it go I realized that’s just not fair, I have made quite a bit of friends locally and through FB who are in the same line of work as I am. I respect them and our work and I feel it is unfair to us to have this negative connotation around what we do and what we charge.

Let’s be honest anyone can make a balloon garland in fact I learned by watching many MANY videos and I still learn something new every once in a while from other balloon artist, tiktok’s, youtube, etc.

The narrative that you’re just buying balloons to only end up popping them is false.

✨You are buying peace of mind & time.

I know majority of my clients say they’ve attempted to make a balloon garland and it was SO hard & time consuming. However, when you hire a “pro” those issues are not a problem for us!
We’ve practiced countless times, what takes someone 3-4 hours can take us 45mins, or an 1-2hrs depending on the size of installation.
You the client now can worry about other important event tasks like food prep, getting ready, or the best thing ever; RELAX and be present in the moment!

I understand my prices are not for everyone and that is okay. What’s that saying, Charge your worth then add tax? Well I charge for materials, driving, & most importantly my time. It’s okay to not agree with another business when it comes to their pricing but I firmly believe in:

✨Community over competition

There is room for all of us to be successful, no one business is better than the next. Whether you have a store front or work out of your home we’re all learning and growing.

I’m not upset with this other business because I believe there is a lack of knowledge and understanding of what a balloon stylist provides. I hope this provides a little more (this is literally just scratching the surface) insight & understanding of why you aren’t just buying balloons to pop them but you’re INVESTING in your time & event!

First year of dental hygiene school COMPLETE!

I want to say THANK YOU to the best clientele a girl could ask for!! You’ve all been SO supportive, patient, & understanding during this chaotic time!

With finals wrapping up yesterday I am now officially able to redirect my time & energy back into Magic by Monica (and of course being a mom!)

600+ balloons blown up, 6 - 8’ balloon columns, 18 organic fence clusters, & 3 days worth of prep work all came together in 45 minutes for a SURPRISE block party!!!!

🌼✨ . . This weekend is one of my busiest weekends with 6 installs planned, starting tomorrow and ending Sunday! While i’m so grateful to be busy sometimes I think “How am I going to do this?!” but because of amazing clients and the greatest assistant (my husband) I am able to get through it and create beautiful garlands for YOU! Unfortunately as I & my kids go back to school I won’t be able to take on as many installations due to the high demand my school courses will be requiring this semester. After some thought and discussions with my husband, I’ve decided to be more selective on the installations I agree to do these next couple months to make sure I balance school work, being a mom, and this little side hustle.
