There has been an update!!!
This is why our communi is the best, one of our community members came by the shop yesterday and gave me some details about this guy and how horrible he is to deal with, apparently when things aren’t going his way he threatens and calls police with any little incident he’s not please with. Major red flag, I will be going to consumer affairs like suggested and see how I can solve this issue. His name is Sergio Villaroel. He parks at VA clinic because of ongoing problems where he lives. Please everyone stay away from this guy. Thanks for everyone for your support it means so much!

Dear valley Stream Community,

We had hoped not to do this but were pushed to so that no one else gets defrauded. We love our Valley Stream Community and we know there is a lot of mom and pop shops that work really hard to have a successful business but to also take care of their families and like us they also love their community. A man by the name of Sergio came to our shop to find work. He told us that he would do great work and he had many pictures for reference. He came a couple of times to try to get work done in our store. We always try to help our community with events at Hendrickson Park, at Wheeler Avenue (my kids go there) we have also hired kids from central wherever we can. Point is we are always trying to help anyone in need so we decided to give him one job to test him out. He wrote us a receipt and took a deposit of $150 for materials to start. Now, $150 might not be a lot to some but when you work really hard for your money to pay the rent in our business, our bills and food to feed our children, it does add up. We are extremely lucky that we have so many happy customers with our work that we mostly work with people referred to us. We are a woman team of Mom and sisters that run our small business that has survived many hardships specially during COVID. I don’t know if he saw us as easy targets because of this but we were a little smart and got his license plates. After this he would never call but Whenever we would call to see how our counter was coming along, he would tell us the “guys” are still working on it. It’s been now over a month and no call, no answering texts no nothing, we don’t expect our money back but we do want to warn others about this person. He has a white pickup truck with a bunch of logos on it (Home Depot, Lowe’s , etc) W have seen his car parked at the VA clinic on South central Avenue on the side (it also says it’s a metro New York church of the Nazarene).This is a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL OUR SMALL BUSINESSES OUT HERE IN VALLEY STREAM AND SURROUNDING AREAS. PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MAN.
