Urgh! So I’m almost giving up on this page. All fb wants me to do is follow other people and I’m not doing that. Apparently, I have an IG page so I may switch over. Yes, I know fb and IG are the same people. I also am not that familiar with IG.

Went to lunch with my sister at La Esperanza today 11/8. Ordered an empanada, listed at $4.50. Charged $6.00. Questioned the price and they said “yeah, we raised prices”. I said “it’s not the same price on the menu - someone needs to get on that” and then some things in Spanish. Also ordered the chicken taquitos - dry af.

My $12 meal cost me $17.60.

Look, I get raising prices but fix it on your menu. I won’t go back even though their empanadas are my fav. 😞

I think I’m losing my mind. I have been cooking for two days straight.

Yesterday: vegetable lasagna (homemade sauce), my daughter’s birthday cake.

Today: pulled pork enchiladas - white sauce with green chilis, Mexican rice, refried beans. Roasted a chicken. Made soup. Made BBQ sauce. My daughter’s birthday dinner.

Tomorrow: gravy, roasted potatoes, green beans. Zucchini boats with pulled pork. Delivery.

My back hurts. My legs hurt. My feet are swollen.

I am grateful! I loved every minute of it!

Today I worked my second job - it’s for a friend - it includes a lot of prep (not food prep but bringing in and setting up for food and his equipment) - heavy lifting, registering, being nice and accommodating to the people.

But, goddamn, I had already sweated through my hair by noon and we weren’t even close. It’s always close. I was dressed in work clothes. Sweat was dripping down my back. And I had to be nice. But I wasn’t. I became short with people - because they decided to sign in themselves at my table. And did it wrong. And messed stuff up. No biggie. Easy fix. But I was still sweating. Literally dripping-off-my-nose sweating.

And I became short and apologized. And they were great. Other mishaps occurred - a clogged toilet, a gross mop, leaking ice, no freezer.

I worked ten hours today and this was the meal I came home to. Linguine with clams. Lovingly made by my husband and daughter. And it was fu***ng delicious!

Like, I need a reminder that I haven’t posted? And I need some dirtbag coming into my fu***ng account begging me to follow him - I blocked him before I could take screenshots of what he said in my comments.

I am not a huge creator. I just want people to enjoy regular food.

Today was fun. I was looking for cherries and Moods Farm had them for $3.50/pint. Fantastic price. We took a drive down.

We had to pick them for that price, hahaha 😠 - I did call and the lady said nothing about picking them. So, we drove across NJ and found blueberries instead for 4 for $10 at fiorentinos.

I made a pie for my husband for Father’s Day.
