Golden Corner Wrestling brings together great family fun and the Gospel message while supporting local organizations. GCW was a vision of Mike Worsham, Heath Mullikin, and Andy McDaniel. My name is Mike Worsham, and I teach at Special Education at Hamilton Career Center. We have started a family-friendly wrestling business called Golden Corner Wrestling or GCW. My partners are Heath Mullikin, the
pastor at Oakway United Wesleyan, Dan Holman, a teacher at Walhalla Elementary, and Andy McDaniel, the pastor of Bounty Land Baptist. We use professional wrestling to help the community of Oconee County and beyond to raise awareness and funds for worthy organizations (James M Brown Elementary, The DAR School, Westminster Recreation Department, etc.). GCW uses our events to share the Gospel because we want all of our events to benefit the community financially and spiritually. We have established a page that had over 200 likes and countless views in the first month. We sent out over 1000 invites to friends on Facebook to view our events. Events has been covered by Greg Oliver from the Seneca Journal, Riley Johnson of City Talk Radio and Coffee Time on WGOG. We also had commercial spots with WGOG and Northland Cable that covered Oconee, Pickens, and Toccoa GA. We have had 2 events, “The Back to School Bash was held on August 15 at Bounty Land Baptist with about 170 in attendance. The event benefitted James M Brown Elementary as we collected school supplies, gave them a portion of the ticket sales, and they kept everything earned from concession sales. We also had the opportunity to share the Gospel with fans in attendance. We saw 7 people give their heart to Jesus at this event. “No Fear 2015” was held on October 31 at West Oak Middle School. We saw 14 people give their heart to Jesus at this event. This event went to help SC Flood Relief. We sent a check from tickets sales and collected cases of water from the event.
