Walker Bay Theater announces a general Casting call for
actresses for their summer production of Steel Magnolias.
This well recognized stage-play and well honored movie will
fill the Walker Bay Theater stage with laughs and thought -
provoking subject matter.

Do you picture yourself as Julia Roberts, age 19, in her
role as Shelby (Golden Globes winner), maybe more like
Truvy, portrayed by Dolly Parton? How about YOU on stage
playing M’Lyn ( Sally Fields), Annelle, Clairee or Ouiser?
This is that chance you have been wishing for all your
life? WBT’s director Jacobsen Hart encourages YOU to take
advantage of the opportunity to check off an item on your
“bucket list”. Performance dates are set for August 8 th
through August 18 th , 2024. Rehearsals will be held at Walker
Bay Theater, with the schedule for rehearsals will be worked
out by cast and director.

Cast calls are scheduled for Sunday, March 10th and
Thursday, March 14th , Noon to 4:00pm, both days at Walker
Bay Theater, 609 Minnesota Avenue, Lower Level (beneath
Subway). If unable to attend those dates, please contact Dave

Theater is a necessary element for our youth.
