-There are seperate tickets to each day so please buy both days, or just a single day to the day you wish to attend!

-Dinner tickets are limited at $60 each and cover your band ticket for Saturday, so if you're lucky enough to get one, you won't need to buy a ticket for the band that night.

-Kids under 12 are free both days, kids 12-18 are $10 for Saturday, and Free on Friday.

We had a great weekend in Breckenridge at the Bob Drake Memorial Cookoff. I had two jobs. One, set the wagon up to win! Check ✅. Two, DON’T BURN Alicia’s cobblers!!!😡😡😡, FAIL ❌. Yep, it happened. Oh well, still had enough to win the overall and we are very blessed again. The “Bob Drake” has a special place in our heart ♥️. IYKYK! Huge thanks and love to Alicia, Pacer and Kendall (soon to be momma - Nov ‘24). You all keep this wagon rolling. I’ll pay attention to the cobblers babe! I promise…😬😯🤬

And, just like that, the 2024 competition season is under way. We had a great weekend in Llano and are very blessed to have won the 2024 Llano River Chuckwagon Cook-off overall championship. Had a little drizzle and some cloudy days but the time spent on the river doing what we love, with the people we love, couldn’t keep us down. Thank you to the Llano community, the cook-off leadership and volunteers, and the many sponsors that contribute to the event. Win or not, we cherish this cook-off. The people and the setting are unforgettable.
Huge thanks to Alicia (wagon boss), Pacer and our new hoodlum Shane Ulbricht. Without you all, we don’t succeed. So starts another year on the trail. Come see us in Breckenridge, May 3-5.
One last thank you to our daughter, PR VP and multi-task coordinator, Kendall. We couldn’t keep this wagon rolling without your help.

Texas Cowboy Symposium

Whew! The Shadow Peak team stars were shining deep in the heart of Texas (Granbury) this weekend. What a wonderful event and Chuckwagon cook off and we are honored to say we took part. Our food was the highlight of the event for so many of our family, friends and as I like to say “new victims”. We hope everyone enjoyed their dinner and will come back next year for dinner and hopefully a little cooler weather. We’ll be back, please come join us. Huge Thank You to Homer and Kathy Robertson, Ty, Ellie, Brett and Steve Berry. These folks, with their teams, poured their souls into an unforgettable event. After it was all sorted out, the Shadow Peak team took home the awards for overall food, 1st bread, 2nd dessert, 2nd beans, 3rd potatoes and 3rd in meat. Placing in all 5 of the food categories gave the overall cooking championship.
We had family from all over come by and join us for dinner. Your love and support are always our inspiration.
Congratulations Homer, great show. We can’t wait until next year!

We made it through the “Inferno on Asphalt” this weekend at the Parker County Ranch Rodeo and Chuckwagon cookoff. Huge thanks to Alicia, Kendall and Josh for their undying faith in the crazy ride we continue. We didn’t take home the big prize but did make some noise. 1st place meat, 1st place potatoes and a 2nd place in the beans. Special thanks to Ms Millie Clay for cooking an awesome meatloaf during the kids cookoff and to Ronnie Davis and the entire PCSP team. I’m ordering air conditioning now for next year!

The FIRST ANNUAL Texas State Championship Chuckwagon Cook-off and Western Swing Festival!! This event will be held at Warren's Backyard in Granbury, TX ; September 29th and 30th. On Friday the 29th, chuckwagons will set up and will be judged, followed by JD Barham and the CowJazz band. On Saturday the 30th, the chuckwagons will be serving dinner, followed by Jody Nix and The Texas Cowboys. Enjoy a full weekend full of the Texas western way of life.
