Mae's Tap costume features a Red on Red holographic cropped halter top with long Black mesh sleeves and Black tap pants highlighted by a Red holographic stripe. The costume is accented by Black Diamond and Light Ruby Rhinestones.

We had the opportunity to co-create a fun Jazz costume for Miss Mae. She is a talented young dancer who aspires to grow into a fashion designer. She came with a well-developed concept, color story and inspiration. After a couple minor tweaks, we created this pink on pink holographic western reference highlighting it with Crystal AB, Pink and Light Blue rhinestones.

We were honored to have been referred by Heather Strickland to a Houston based dancer whose planned costume did not meet her need. Given the unexpected issue, she was faced with an urgent need for a replacement costume. We were able to partner with the dancer and her mother to quickly work through a design, quick ship for fabrics and stones and provide in record time a stunning Red Lace costume punctuated by Crystal AB, Light Colorado Topaz and Light Siam rhinestones.

This dancer received her costume in time to take the stage for her first 2024 solo event and danced beautifully! We wish her the best throughout this competition season.

Emerson returned to Blingology LLC this year for edits to and rhinestones for her costume. We completed the alterations with an eye toward eliminating distractions for the dancer and accentuated the beautiful lines of her top and flowing skirt with hundreds of Crystal AB rhinestones ranging from 30SS to 9SS.

We are excited to watch Emerson through her competitive year and wish her the best!

Sophia, Drake Dance Academy, exudes her happy personality in these images! She loved this black and red costume for her tap competition piece, but the pants were unavailable in her size! We completed a dramatic resize and added ostrich feathers to the top to complete the look!

COSTUME AWARD WINNER - 4/20/24

Kaylee is a young tapper who exudes happy energy when she competes! Her crop top and coordinating dance jeans light up the stage and feature thousands of Swarovsky rhinestones ranging from 9SS to 30SS in about 30 different colors!

I wish Kaylee a wonderful competition year full of joy!

I first met Kylee as a young soloist in 2016! I recall our first meeting when she was quite certain of the 'look' she wanted for her solo and the subsequent hours required to locate the harlequin print holographic fabric this little one was in love with for her briefs! Her costume was lovely and she had a great year!

As in 2016 Kylee had a vision! She had seen a costume that featured the rope elements of her costume, but she was focused on a lace unitard for her "Dangerous Woman" solo. We partnered to develop a design that incorporates all the elements she hoped to include -- black lace, unitard with interest, holographic fabric, ropes and rhinestones!

Kylee is a dream to work with, to watch as a gifted dancer and I wish her a wonderful year as she competes this compelling solo!

Grace and Kylee are talented dancers who are competing a duet choreographed to "Telephone". Based on our initial meeting, I fully expected to see the synchronization featured in their photo! These ladies were locked in on general style and Coral and Neon Orange; but were open to ideas as we developed the final look which includes fun straps, angles, a skirt with lots of movement and loads of rhinestones!

I am so excited to watch them throughout this competition season and wish them the best!

I met Kamila and her mother, Stefanie Birnbaum-Shiblaq, in the Fall to discuss a costume for her Jazz solo to a remix of “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”. Kamila had a general idea of the style costume she wanted. After reviewing a variety of fabric options, she quickly committed to a full sequin design and fell in love with a beautiful teal. Once we had the fabric and color, we moved to style details…. One piece, two piece? Shape of the neckline, strappy, not strappy, skirt, no skirt, fringe, no fringe? It was a fun afternoon of design followed by a couple of fittings resulting in a stunning costume that Kamila presented at competition with the most amazing routine!

I am so honored to have had the opportunity to work with Kamila and wish her the best throughout this competition season!

I recently had the opportunity to assist Yuiko with her contemporary costume. She had acquired a lovely costume, but it was lacking. In order to complement her dance choreography, she needed to add a skirt with beautiful movement. Her skill combined with our skirt created a beautiful result!

Blingology had the pleasure of creating a custom Jazz costume for Miss Grace Underwood. She is dancing to "Icon" the 2023-24 season.

Grace expressed a desire for a mature design, loved the idea of RED and was open to a sprinkle of rhinestones to catch the light as she performs!

Ultimately, we designed this lovely red holographic and lace piece accented with light siam and crystal AB rhinestones.

We are wishing Grace much success this competition year!

Taking a fabric from fun to Fabulous! We “painted” this printed fabric in thousands of rhinestones creating an amazing top to accompany a lime holographic skirt.

Miranda came to Blingology requesting edits to a beautiful catalog costume. She was originally drawn to the flowy style of the pants; but didn't love the sheer leg and wanted more detail on the back. While the front applique should have served as the centerpiece for the design, she felt it fell flat.

We addressed her concerns by deconstructing the original costume, added a second layer mesh pant which maintained the flowy leg while providing more opacity! To add interest to the back of the costume, we added straps of varying width, applique detail, a sheer insert along the mid-back and rhinestones.

To highlight the applique centerpiece, we coated the sheer sections with imported champagne ultra fine glitter, layered pearls and Honey, Apricot, Greige and Crystal AB rhinestones in 8. 10, 12, 20, 30 SS leveraging both round and pear shapes.

Miranda loved the costume transformation and beautifully danced her Senior contemporary piece!

Miranda will be attending the University of Kentucky this Fall and will be double majoring in Dance and Arts Administration.

Colette’s grandmother requested a special practice wear for her. We created a sweet baby blue leotard with a separate silver embroidered ribbon and holographic sequin skirt.

Winner - Special Judges Award for Costume!!

Sophia brought a lovely jazz costume in need of heavy alterations to ensure a perfect fit for her petite frame along with a desire to add a little pizzazz since she is the Life of the Party!

After completing her alterations and adding a black turkey feather and red ostrich feather bustle, she was ready for the Musical Theater Party!

Mallory requested a skirt with lots of movement and a top with a strappy back. We leveraged chainette fringe, AB elongated cat-eye sequin fringe, applique and rhinestones to achieve her costume goals!

The original costume was a lined leotard with a separate skirt. The contemporary dancer came to us requesting the costume be transformed to a biketard with a longer inseam, light applique and light rhinestones. We look forward to her senior solo performance!

Savannah debuted her first solo in this beautiful costume. While her costume selection was lovely, it arrived needing a series of alterations! This was a fun challenge. A local company had a ’ringmaster’ character who served a central role, but needed to be created on a budget. This Amazon purchase received a little love for this result!

Catalog costumed transformed! This costume arrived as a disappointment for a dancer scheduled to perform a beautiful contemporary solo. The edges were overstretched and ragged and the deep back scoop exceeded the requirements for the company. We worked to edit the entire costume transitioning the skirt to a high-low, edit and stone the neckline, elegantly raise the back, smooth the hem along the neck, back and sleeve and transform the back to a focal point that drove edits to her choreography to highlight the transformation. Once edited, this dancer felt the costume met the choreography and she performed a beautiful piece!

Ava is breathtaking as she prepares for her tap event sporting a custom layered top and black jeans. We detailed her costume with Aurora Borealis Crystal and Fuchsia Shimmer rhinestones, Fuchsia resin stones and highlighted the AB effects with more Crystalite stones! The black jeans were coordinated with the same stones.

I love it when dancers share and create new looks! This rhinestoned sequin navy mesh over slate first made its appearance in 2019 paired with a slate skirt. Borrowed and paired with navy mesh pants for a new contemporary look. Fabulous!
