The Red River Quilters Guild is presenting their 2024 quilt show "Quilting in the Falls" on Friday September 6th from 9am-5pm and Saturday September 7th from 9am-4pm in the Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall. There will be over 200 quilts on display, door prizes, vendors, a raffle, and more!

Friday is finally here, and today there's even more cause to celebrate, because it's Flatland Cavalry Friday at the MPEC! 🎵 What does that mean, you ask? It means that it's time for a CONTEST! Here's how it works:

-Each Friday from now through the end of October, we will post a prompt for entering the contest. From each week's entries, one participant's name will be randomly drawn for the weekly prize. The weekly prize winner will also be entered for a chance to win the monthly Grand Prize! Grand Prize drawings will be selected on the last Friday of each month. There will be Grand Prize winners chosen for the months of August, September and October.
-Only one entry per person each week will be accepted; however, participants are able to re-enter in future weeks' prompts if they were not the weekly winner for that week.

The Wichita Falls Multi-Purpose Event Center (MPEC) and Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) are at the forefront of promoting Wichita Falls as the prime destination for conventions, meetings, entertainment, and leisure travel. We are dedicated to showcasing the vibrant events and unique attractions our city offers.
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about bringing events and tourism to life through innovative marketing techniques and demonstrate strong photography skills. Proficiency in using professional cameras are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to develop and implement effective marketing strategies that promote the events center and enhance Wichita Falls’ appeal to visitors.
- Create compelling graphic design elements for various marketing materials, including print and digital advertising, newsletters, and publications.
- Manage and produce engaging content for social media platforms, ensuring a consistent and captivating brand message that highlights the MPEC and CVB offerings.
- Lead the production of captivating photo and video content that showcases the unique attractions and events of Wichita Falls.
- Engage in special events and tourism initiatives, contributing to the overall promotional efforts to attract visitors and participants.

Qualifications:
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to the marketing field, preferably with experience in event marketing or tourism promotion.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is highly desirable.
- Strong photography skills and proficiency in using professional cameras are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey marketing messages creatively and effectively.
- Experience managing social media platforms, with a proven track record of growing engagement and followers.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, supporting the Marketing Manager in a range of dynamic projects.
