Happy Tuesday To Be Eventers 👋🏽,

Recently I’ve expressed my dislike in doing cookies, mostly because the tiny details can be most challenging and I haven’t had the best of results.
(Seriously I should better document the ‘mess ups’ 😆).
So rather than foregoing doing them in the future I’m going to accept “cookies” as my September baking challenge!! Below are some I’ve done in the past and two (slightly better batches) that I’ve done this month. So stay tuned for some more finished product 😉!

Skipped a few challenge months but here’s an update for July’s baking challenge...

I usually purchase the buttercream for my jobs because it’s ‘oh so yummy!’ But I wanted to try my own hand at it now. Thanks to a lovely friend with an old recipe the kiddos enjoyed this first attempt. Some tweaking could be nice but I’m going to attempt a professional bulk recipe next with some higher end ingredients.

This is definitely great for a quick, ingredients on hand bake session and I enjoyed making a pretty little ‘just for fun’ cake 🍰👱‍♀️💅🏽👑💝

It’s Friday Jr. guys!! 🤗

As told and promised I’m going to be doing a monthly baking challenge for the year 2018. I’ll be trying out something new for the first time in each challenge, bear with me!! Lol.

This challenge is not to say that I am a professional baker, but to grow in skill and technique and just make myself better. That being said, the following will be a better example of what each months post will look like. Sorry for the long read!

January Baking Challenge : Airbrush

I will post a picture of my first attempt that was my sons birthday cake (he wanted a rainbow p**p emoji cake 🌈💩🤷🏽‍♀️). However, I was not impressed with the attempt so I went at it again with some Valentine’s Day cupcakes for Work. While I will be incorporating airbrush in other works to continue my practice, these are my first “strokes”.
