Wrapping Christmas presents has been a tradition for many years. The Hall brothers made it even more popular in the early 1900’s with printed wrapping paper. The extravagant wrapping some people do for their gifts are so beautiful the recipient may hesitate to tear the paper. The Bible tells us that Jesus was the first wrapped Christmas gift in history. He was wrapped in simple clothes and placed in a manger. It really is better to live with an attitude of gratitude every day. Jesus saw in a group of lepers how easily people forget to be thankful. He healed ten lepers of a terrible disease and only one came back to thank Him. Let’s make sure to “Give Thanks” every day for what God has done for us!

Priorities are so easy to get out of order. Sometimes the smallest distraction can divert our attention away from what’s most important. Jesus told us to seek His kingdom first and everything else will come into place. The distraction can be as simple as a Mosca! That’s Spanish for fly. When a fly pesters you, it becomes the focus, much like the little daily irritants in our schedules. Before long, you focus on the Mosca and not the first priority. A horse that is eating will rarely let a fly disturb its meal. It will just swish its tail and stay focused on the priority of food. Let’s swat the Mosca away and stick to what Jesus told us to do!
