As soon as the snow melted I was out here clearing (ripping) out some aggressive vines, looks like the bleeding hearts are thankful. This one is almost as tall as me!! 💗

Heard about this thing the the other day and had to try it… thought today while walking around, enjoying new blooms, would be the perfect opportunity and… absolutely LOVING the iPhoto upgrade that offers plant identification!!

This weather this weekend wasn’t the best for trimming trees, but there was one unexpected highlight…
We were taking a few rotten limbs off of a maple close to the front of the house. I had noticed a few were pretty hollow so they needed to go. As I started cutting, a “less than thrilled” full grown raccoon came out of the hollow limb next to the one I was working on! This furry friend apparently had not ordered a new skylight…
As it glared at me, I continued to cut…and finished while it was making it’s getaway…climbing down the neighboring tree. I noticed it’s belly looked like SHE has been nursing some little ones, so I repositioned the boom to get a better look…sure enough! There were four little bandits deep down inside the trunk of this tree! I hope she knows that she found the Serenity Asylum Farm and it’s a safe place for her and her mini masked babies to live and learn the ropes…provided they don’t cause any trouble…
