Glacier Point!

Glacier Point Road will be open weekends only starting July 1. The road will be open:
-July 1 from 6 am through July 4 at 10 pm
-July 8 from 6 am through July 9 at 10 pm

Glacier Point Road will open seven days per week, 24 hours per day, starting July 15 at 6 am. Expect 30-minute delays, Monday through Friday, 6 am to 9 pm.

Parking at Glacier Point and throughout the park is limited. Arrive early in the morning to avoid long delays and full parking lots.

Services may be limited. Vault toilets will be available this weekend. Drinking water may not be available this weekend: be prepared with plenty of water.

Sections of trails in the Glacier Point Road area will still be wet and muddy, with snow persisting at the higher elevations (e.g., Ostrander Lake). If you want to go backpacking, wilderness permits are now available one week in advance (not the day before, as in the past). Visit https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/wpres.htm for more information or go to https://www.recreation.gov/permits/445859 to make a reservation.

Tioga Road (continuation of Highway 120 through the park) will not be open for the Independence Day holiday.

This couple went through several changes to their wedding day, heavy snow, road closures, flooding, man did plans change. With amazing flexible vendors and awesome staff we pulled it off!

⛰Can you believe we started planning their wedding in Yosemite and then (due to the fun world of Covid) we had to move their wedding? 🍀As luck would have it they chose one of my bucket list venues! Do you know where?

I’ll give you a hint, it’s in North Caroline! 🌳
This Gorgeous couple had their wedding at the Biltmore Estate, if you don’t know it, you will want to look it up! 🥹

It was a whirl wind of planning and then a torn Achilles put me in a boot right before the wedding, so with the help of my wonderful assistants and some amazing vendors I had the pleasure working along side, the day was perfect! 💕Thank you Justin & Addie for trusting us with your day!

This cute couple’s ceremony only took 5 minutes 😳even with the last minute change we were able to coordinate with the venue so 🍸cocktails and appetizers were served earlier. Fhewww that was a close one! ⏱ Time out your ceremony, so you know when too have cocktail hour ready for your guests!

🌲Yosemite Wedding permit - Covers you, your vendors and your guests for your wedding day.
📄What you will need - Each car going through will need a copy of couples permit and a copy of 1 or both of the couples drivers license (persons listed on the permit) to get through the gate on the wedding day. For days before of after you will need a reservation!

💕It is difficult to explain just how vital Roshel and AddyRose Design were for our wedding. Hiring Roshel was the best decision we made and the best money we spent. We cannot imagine our wedding without her.
We first found AddyRose Design because we had decided to get married at the Ahwahnee in Yosemite but were having difficulty getting help and information from the hotel. So we looked online for some help. After speaking with Roshel on the phone, we knew we had to hire her, both to help navigate planning a wedding in Yosemite and to run the show on the day of. And that’s exactly what we got - help with local vendors, information about the hotel and how it handles weddings, and advice from someone who is clearly THE person to hire for a Yosemite wedding. Unfortunately, the Ahwahnee canceled our wedding due to COVID-19 restrictions. Roshel was actually the first person to tell us about this. We spoke with her and then called the hotel to confirm. Finding this out when we did, because of Roshel, was invaluable and enabled us switch to a different venue while only moving our wedding date back a single day. Roshel then showed that her wedding planner chops aren’t limited to Yosemite. She’s just a great wedding planner, period. She helped us tremendously in planning our wedding at the Lodge at Torrey Pines, despite never having been there. She was especially helpful with advice about florals and helped us figure out a way to get a classy, minimalist look at a very low cost. She was also meticulous with scheduling and creating a timeline for the day-of. And she just helped us keep our sanity during the stress of planning a big event. The wedding day itself was when Roshel really shined….

These days Yosemite does not have the same options for couples as they once did. With all main venues and restaurants inside the park unable to book events, we help couples find an alternative. This simple cabin dinner is one of those options.
