Cultivate Collective opened it’s door in September 2021.
It is a member owned Marketplace where consumers can buy, sip and share wines made by black and brown people. Cultivate was created by Zahira Asmal. Members share a vision of equality and opportunity in South Africa’s wine industry .

Cultivate Collective’s members include emerging winemakers, sommeliers, a retailer, a wine laboratory supervisor, export consultants and other industry key role players.

Our beautiful Marketplace is open to the public Tuesday to Saturday 10am -6pm

Always fun times when our members stop by. Have you met Wade Sanders? Wade along with his brother Brett and the Sanders Family acquired Cold Mountain Vineyards in 2016. They make , delicious boutique style wines focused on showcasing the Soderskloof region in South Africa. Brett tends to managing the organic farming techniques and Wade is the winemaker using minimum intervention in the cellar. The Sanders family dream of producing world class wines of excellence is now a reality. Come taste their beautifully crafted wines in our Marketplace.

Although become a in 1994, black and brown people in the country continue to experience the persistent legacies of including limited access to valuable resources and opportunities.

The end of has led to the lifting of sanctions and the growth of the in South Africa. However, this has not translated to significant tangible benefits for black and brown people. The barriers to entry and success remain high.

On 22 September at 17h30, we invite you to our dynamic new marketplace where Beks Ndlovu will give a talk about natural heritage and exploring southern Africa - this beautiful place where we live and travel.

Beks is a leading voice in both the tourism and conservation spheres - always advocating for tourism to be used as a vehicle to transform African communities and to conserve Africa’s wildlife. The African Bush Camps Foundation is a non-profit organisation that funds community empowerment, education, human-wildlife conflict resolution, and conservation.

In addition to African Bush Camps, Beks is also the founder of the Conservation and Wildlife Fund, a non-profit organisation funded by the contributions of safari operators in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe.
