Boy oh boy!! What can we say that hasn't already been said about this amazing talent. Even recognized the the boy has something special going for him🔥🔥🔥 but let's take you back to the beginning where it all started

real name Keano was born into a single parent family; his father left his mother whilst Keano was still in his infancy. “He was never there. My dad just showed no interest whatsoever,” he says, the pain of the abandonment still clearly stinging. Keano’s mother fell pregnant whilst in the early stages of pursuing her own musical career in Johannesburg. A talented musician and rapper in her own right, her musical influences and political activism were to inspire Keano throughout his life. After returning to Cape Town to be closer to family, Keano’s earliest years were far from easy.

Born into poverty in one of the most crime-ridden ghettos of Cape Town, Keano was still at school when he joined his first gang. By his mid-teens, he found himself in juvenile prison. Not letting his mistakes define his character
Keano quickly turned his journey from misguided street rapper to the record deal artist we all know & came to love.

“Hip hop saved me. It got me out of the ghetto; now I want it to save everybody else.”

In this week's addition of another 🔭 SPOTLIGHT HOUR 🔭 we getting to know an amazing artist that goes by the name King Slave Boris

So who is King Slave Boris?

Raised by a single mother of 3 with his grandmother in Athlone, his father was a police officer murdered, off duty by gangsters when he was 7. That is the pain that fuels his music and art.

Originally a Jazz-Soul-Blues Singer that stemmed out in to Hip-Hop and created a sonic sound unique to him. A Strong tenor vocalist that can hit high falsetto notes similar to the great late James Ingram and low baritone tones such as Nat King Cole, he also holds a very controlled vibrato that can switch into a raw and Gritty rap tone at anytime of his choosing.

Besides just making music. King Slave Boris is also a writer, director, graphic designer & protest artist that pushes his music and message through all the art forms he practices.

In this weekly addition of 🔭 SPOTLIGHT HOUR 🔭 we wanna introduce to y'all two totally different spectrums of the exact same thing, a DJ & a producer. Both makes you move involuntary & both of them has the power to manipulate mass movement with a few tweaks of a beat.

Meet a 22 year old producer from Cape Town, Summerset West to be exact. is currently working on Production for up & coming & my we add exciting new prospect .yung with the latest single Yes Indeed getting nationwide recognition we can only Begin to imagine what's about to happen next with the pair, oh & may we add his already got production credits with & just to name a few.

Not taking away anything from our next artist/Dj my oh my can this kid play!!! originally born and raised in Strandfontein, Cape Town.
His always paid close attention to the best DJs in the city. He realised that you needed a skill and passion to make it in this industry & N/never in a million years would he of thought that his passion would be to become a DJ. says "I am a multi genre DJ, but I feel I connect more with Deep House Music in general mainly because it's a genre that is underrated"

With him being 1 of the youngest DJ's on the local music scene feels like he has a lot more to offer than what's currently being done.

Joshua Bukasa born in Madagascar on April1995 & relocated Cape Town South Africa to a place on the Cape Flats called Lavender Hill.
As a young boy was more into sports, soccer to be exact but the age of 18 when he moved to Milnerton unfortunately he had to give up his beloved sport. Not feeling discouraged found himself in a place of familiarity & that place was music, hitting the blocks running dropped his debut album titled "Different" in collaborate with Cape Towns poster kid the amazing . Now with the right buzz behind him ended up opening for both & in the same year but that was only the start for him.
Thus far his added performance credits with South African heavy weights like , , , , & . We could go on & on about what his done but 1 thing is for sure, is shooting for the stars while crushing in space.

My full name is Andre Leonard Luke Draai Jr, born on the 10 November 1999 was brought
in the city of Durban in a place called Wentworth.

"I fell in love with the arts at around the age of 12 years old. Dancing was something I was
passionate at that age. As time passed, I picked up 2 more artistic skills, and this was drawing
and music. I became passionate about drawing and took it up as subject when I reached grade
10, but music was something I fell in love with"

In June 2018 he released his first single, blurred lines, and his first project titled LOW LIFE IN AUTUMN. Creating buzz locally his project got him to do his very 1st show too at a local event in Durban called
Phansi Day and then led to more opportunities to perform at OH MY JAM twice in
Johannesburg alongside well-known artists in the industry such as and .

then moved to Cape Town & started making moves here. Since his arrival in the City has already worked with artist & producers such as PSYKOBEATS ZINO D BEATS PATTY MONROE & PHRESH CLIQUE just to name a few.

In this week's addition of 🔭 SPOTLIGHT HOUR 🔭 meet singer & Song writer

21-year-old Gemma Fassie is an independent South African born singer/songwriter, who comes from a musical family where she always got exposed to different genres and styles of music that influenced her sound from Jazz to R&B and even HipHop/Trap. The singer/songwriter explores new melodies showcasing her influences from great artists and musicians such as Jhené Aiko, H.E.R, UMI, Lauryn Hill and Snoh Aalegra. 

After collaborating and performing she took a brief hiatus from music to finish and focus on her studies. That break came to an end when she dropped her singles 'Best Life' & 'All I Need'. Gemma Fassie's notable achievements include features include Nipho Mkhize with 'Hold My Love', 'One Night' that went on to hit top radio charts in the U.K, performing in Greece for over 65 000 people in summer 2019.

Her new project 'After Hours' boasts to be her best body of work yet because of its raw emotions and story relatability in every way possible!
