This time last week we were prepping for this dreamy shoot with .bridal and at the lovely recently opened Bamboo wedding & events venue.

We just love how these photos came out 🥰 the colours and details all came together to create a really beautiful vision.

✨ I hope your Garden Day SA was filled with as much joy as making these unexpectedly sweet arrangements brought me. They’re not perfect but I think that’s why I like them so much 🤍

Ingredients include Lycia butterfly ranunculus, nasturtium, may blossoms, daisies and some foraged grasses. Everything except the butterfly ranunculus was from either my own or my mom’s garden.

You can see a peek of her foxgloves in the background of some of these photos and her garden is absolute goals, especially at this time of year where there’s abundance everywhere you look 🌸

My Christmas confession is that the evergreen, typically christmassy look isn’t my ultimate favourite. It’s lovely in its own way, but it doesn’t call to me or speak to my heart.

When I saw the magnificently beautiful wreath made using rain tree pods, it inspired me to try my own fluffy and extra wreath too!

We don’t have rain tree pods in South Africa, but we do have bougainvillea ✨

I had loads that I picked a few weeks ago and it had dried a bit naturally, so that’s what I used. It’s so extra and fluffy and I LOVE how it came out!

It might not last until Christmas but even if it lasts for only a day, it’s already brought me so much joy! Swipe next to see gorgeous wreath 😍 it truly is a thing of great beauty!

I spent the day at home waiting for our new geyser to be installed.

Definitely not my first choice if you were to ask me how I’d like to spend my day, but instead of getting frustrated about not being able to leave the house, I made do with what I had at home, in studio, and in the garden.

And I made this (and a special wreath I LOVE which I’ll share very soon)
