🌺 B O U G A I N V I L L E A 🌺
Who hasn't seen these amazing brightly-coloured beauties? They are everywhere right now. Actually, it's the leafy bracts surrounding the flowers that are so beautifully coloured. The bougainvillea flowers themselves are usually cream or white.

FUN FACTS
--------------
🌺 Native to South America, bouganvilleas can be found around the world in tropical climates.
🌺 They were first recorded by French botanist Philibert Commerçon, in the 1760s. He named them after the French admiral, Loui-Antoine de Bougainville, who was an explorer, and whom Commerçon had joined for an expedition around the world.
🌺 Bougainvilleas are also known as Napoleón, veranera, trinitaria, Santa Rita and papelillo.
🌺 They grow 1-12 metres high depending on the species, and can be grown in pots, as a bonsai, in hanging baskets, along walls, over trellises, as a hedge and other places in the garden.
🌺 Their bright colours add a touch of wow to gardens, wedding arrangements, table decor or just around the home.
Who has these in their garden? Show us yours.

Gerbera Daisies are native to South Africa, Gauteng specifically, and are one of the most popular flowers, alongside carnations and roses. They have a long vase life and come in a range of cheerful colours so we love to use them in arrangements. Sometimes they can grow as large as 17cm across! 😲
