What a beautiful day it was today at the Moore Park Beach Arts Festival. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who and made the village a success. Special thanks to Nicole Lorrell from the First Nation print workshop, Victor & Isabella Kiddie for palms leaves weaving and Salasa Moses for bilum workshop, Bundaberg Kiribati family for dance performances, and South Sea Islander Heritage Associations and Lillian Gaso for your great display of arts and crafts and stall. Thank you again ๐

Moore Park Beach Arts Inc , in the cultural village section will feature bilum and palms leaves and plants weaving and First Nation art workshop with Nicole Lorrell.
Palm leaves weaving starting from 10am and Bilum workshop from 1pm. We will also have stalls of island arts n crafts and clothing for sell. Do come by and check the village out

Pacific Islands cultural bites, what an exciting event it was last Saturday, co- hosted by Bundaberg & District Neighbourhood Centre & Ol Meri Wantok-Bundaberg. We thank all our volunteers and everyone who participated in bringing a dish of food to share and simply coming to share in fellowship of food and culture. We particularly acknowledge the following communities; Bundaberg Kiribati families, Bundaberg Fijian Inc. Bundaberg PNG families & seasonal workers and South Sea Island Heritage Associations for your participation.
We also acknowledge our newly elected Bundaberg Mayor Helen Blackburn, Deputy Mayor Tracey McPhee, Cr Gray Kirk & Cr May Mitchell and our local MPs, Stephen Bennett, member for Hinkler and Tom Smith - Member for Bundaberg. for your support.
