A barefoot wedding on soft green grass was everything that Johanna and Stewart desired, and to have family and friends from all over the the world in attendance, the day could not have been more perfect. Susie Figgis was their celebrant of choice and she delivered a loving and gentle sermon with stories of how this Swedish get met this Aussie boy in Byron Bay. The flower girls, ushers and ring boy couldn’t have been more gorgeous for the occasion. Gotta go and put my bare feet back in that grass ..how blessed we are having these three Moreton Bay Figs entwined together in our back yard.

After over 150?mls of rain in the last 48 hours I see trees of green … finally some moments of sunshine today; the rain really has brought out the amazing colours of nature here ; just in time for any type of ceremony you like under this Moreton Bay fig tree in the Byron hinterland. I can’t stop looking at the magnificent piece of nature that it is and the many years of nurturing this tree as well.

We have had many wedding ceremonies over the years at ; this one unders the auspice of and . This was .smith.xx & Callum in December 2022; flowers were by and it was a surprise for the families who thought they were just coming to Byron for a Christmas get together

What would you write on your epitaph? We were honoured to host the celebration of life for Donald Spencer Brewer guided by with the lovely Halie who delivered the most heart rendering words to all who attended. A bagpiper welcomed us all & emotional words were delivered by Don’s wife of 60 years; their three children and their respective grandchildren. The Masons from the Northern Rivers & Byron Bay branch were also there to deliver a stirring tribute to the many years he had been involved in the Masonic Clubs in NSW. Thanks for the privelege of allowing us to be part of this celebration of Don’s life and farewell him in that ‘field’ that he so desired. A life well lived. 🙏🤗😘🕊️💐🙏

We were delighted and honoured to host the celebration of life for Judith on Tuesday last. Along with a friend & carer she had selected our to commemorate her life. A small gathering of family & friends were lead by Halie of It was a glorious afternoon and such a peaceful, calming place to celebrate her life & remember the beautiful soul that was Judith. Thanks to who supplied a tasty platter of food. Rest in Peace Judith.

Our much loved fig has had a long life so far. It was planted in the 1930’s according to legends told. As well as wedding ceremonies, engagements, lunches or in fact on any visit to our place, the fig becomes the central focus. We also host celebrations of life & funeral services as you can see from the images attached. We’ve had 895 mls for the month of March just passed including 320mls in 24 hours last week .. as you can see, the soil was sodden & the water took a few days to disappear; she remained intact despite all the rain & wind… 90 years strong. I don’t think Moreton Bay Figs like a lot of water; we are thankful we live in the top of a hill

In Autumn we were delighted and honoured to have & partner Tim chose to host their marital ceremony. The vista was spectacular & with flowers done by .by.wevents with the help of the occasion was memorable; a little rain had the musicians playing on the deck ; however it did not dampen their gorgeous voices. Such a happy moment for all the families involved. Thanks for allowing us to be part of it
