We want to foster an open and healthy place for conversations, but we will remove posts which contain strong language, are abusive, offensive, potentially defamatory, break the law or encourage others to do

so. The Jetty Memorial Theatre was built in 1927 by the returned servicemen’s league, and was leased as a cinema until the late 1970s. In 2004 the building underwent a major restoration and renovation, which transformed the building into an intimate contemporary performance space with 250 seats.

2007 saw the very first season launch at the theatre, introducing the professional touring shows and enabling the Coffs Coast to join the national regional touring network. Since then the theatre has gone from strength to strength and become one of the highlights of the region’s performing arts landscape. On an ongoing basis, we hope to establish links with the wider community, and in particular our culturally and linguistically diverse residents, communicating local stories in an effort to create community cohesion. Then one night police raided his Surry Hills home and it all came crashing down. Andrew's predicament didn't sink in at first, mainly because he'd been living life pretty hard and wanted to sleep it off. When he was transferred to Parklea Correctional Centre, his prison-inspired existential dilemma began.

Jokes About the Time I Went to Prison is a hilarious insider's view to life inside. Andrew left prison a changed man, determined to turn his life around. This is the story of what happens when max denial collides with the reality of max security.

Winner Best Director Award – Cannes Film Festival 2023

The year is 1885 and Academy Award winner Juliette Binoche (The English Patient) plays Eugénie, a renowned cook with no equal. Previous Cannes Film Festival Best Actor winner Benoît Magimel (The Piano Teacher) is Dodin, a brilliant epicure whose ideas for recipes when combined with Eugénie’s talents, create culinary magic. The talented duo form a partnership that extends beyond the kitchen, establishing a friendship that occasionally evolves into something more. Can Dodin’s outstanding culinary instincts and desire for a deeper connection persuade Eugénie to marry him?

Both instructive and lovingly-captured throughout, this film reminds us that traditional French cuisine has earned its prestigious place on the world stage, thanks to the dedication, care, time and love it demands.

Don’t miss this cinematic masterpiece, and make sure you have secured a booking at your favourite French Restaurant post-screening!

In exchange, he’ll receive a desperately desired Royal name for himself. But the sole ruler of the area, the merciless Frederik de Schinkel, arrogantly believes this land belongs to him. When de Schinkel learns that the maid Ann Barbara and her serf husband have escaped for refuge with Kahlen, the privileged and spiteful ruler swears revenge, doing everything in his power to drive the captain away. Kahlen will not be intimated and takes up the unequal battle – not only risking his life, but also the family of outsiders that has formed around him.
