We can modify ingredients to suit peoples dietary requirements. We are open to all ideas! Just let us know what flavours, spices, and cake style you like. Most responses will be within the bakery's opening hours. Baking will be done either during or after hours. If you require a quick response please try to message within the opening hours, or book an appointment :)
Cakes can be collected from baking location or anywhere in the city centre.

After a lovely and exciting year of baking for the Hobart (and those visiting from interstate) communities, we are sad to say that we won't be returning to Hobart in the new year. Jacqueline will be moving to Brisbane in 2023 to be closer to family and follow new opportunities!

It's the start of spring and apparently it's generated a craving for cupcakes! We've got so many exciting cupcake orders for the next week and are looking forward to some good quality baking time! ๐ฉ๐ผโ๐ณ๐
These ones are a lovely gift from Priscilla to share with her coworkers on R U OK day ๐ it's been a nice reminder for us to check in with family, friends and our coworkers and say R U OK. Thanks for asking us to bake someone happy, Priscilla - we hope you all enjoy these vanilla treats!
We had so much FUN baking and making these peacock themed cupcakes! ๐ฆ
These special guys were mud chocolate cupcakes, with a peppermint buttercream frosting. Sara asked for 10 extra to be made undecorated so that her and her friends could have their own fun decorating DIY at the party. What a great party activity!

Our latest edition - a Pistachio, Lemon and Olive Oil Cake ๐ซ๐ super light and fluffy, citrusy and textured, and flavoured with pistachios. It tasted even better on day two! Be warned though, because it took almost just as long before the household gobbled it up ๐๐
Here's a great slicing tip if anyone needs to share some cake with a large group ๐ ... Hmm, now that has me thinking about cake ๐
On the weekend we baked our first decorated cake!
A little boy celebrating his birthday was very firm that he loved the police, and would like a cake decorated in this theme. The inside flavours were vanilla and white chocolate, and all of the dรฉcor on top was completely edible!

Another addition to our menu! Hummingbird cake ๐ filled with pineapple, banana, coconut and pecans, it takes you on a tropical holiday! Topped with a cream cheese frosting, roasted pecans and pineapple flowers ๐ผ

Smooth or crunchy? A dark chocolate brownie base. A creamy, rich and fluffy milk chocolate and lavender middle, made smooth or add some chocolate chips for a bit of crunch. A cocoa powdered top. This is a cake for those who want indulgence, elegance and flavour. Oh and did we mention it's ridiculously tall?
Who likes carrot cake?
Well we've discovered the recipe for the ultimate carrot cake! Three cake layers packed with carrot, spices and walnuts, filled and topped with a cream cheese frosting & more toasted walnuts. Yum! ๐๐ฅ

We've been coming up with some new ideas which will be put to work (or oven) over the next couple of weeks! In the meantime, this Lavender and Honey cheesecake is filling the time and the tummy ๐

What's your favourite food combination? We absolutely adore this one! A Poached Pear and Pistachio Tart.
This tart is subtle yet full of flavour! These two quieter items are the star of this dish, complementing each other nicely. Melt in your mouth pears trickle out hints of vanilla while the pistachios give a lovely nutty flavour and assist the flakey crust in texture. Yum! ๐

It's been a busy week, with many special birthday's popping up all over the place! This one was no exception, so for a special 30th we made a Chocolate, Orange and Fennel Cassata Cake.
A triple layer dark chocolate and fennel cake with a sweetened ricotta filling, infused with orange, vanilla and pistachio. Topped with a chocolate buttercream and glazed with dark chocolate. Decorated with candied orange peel, fresh sprigs of fennel and pistachio.

One of our customers came down to visit Hobart with her partner for a birthday celebration! We merged our ideas together to create a Basque Chocolate Cheesecake with roasted Rosรฉ strawberries on top ๐ and she left a lovely review:

What fruit do you love when it's in season? I absolutely love cherries; making it the perfect time to create a Black Forest Gateau! A triple layer rich dark chocolate cake soaked in port, filled with cherries and whipped cream, and topped with cherries, pomegranate and dark chocolate, this is a decedent cake, perfect for large parties and gatherings. Mmmm, now I want cherries again ๐
What have you been up to this Australia Day? Unfortunately it's been miserable weather, but we've taken it as an opportunity to bake some in season fruit and create this Apple and Plum pie! All fruit was collected locally in Hobart ๐ what's more, it's vegan! ๐ ๐ฅง
What do you have the cravings for on a hot, sunny day? I enjoy a G&T, with lots of ice! And what's the best accompaniment? A G&T cheesecake!
This cheesecake is deliciously light, fresh, and silky smooth with lots of flavours of citrus; and of course, gin & tonic! We made this particular one with a beautiful gin, from distillery in Edinburgh ๐๐
