What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of this horrendous lockdown - with a WEDDING 😄😄😄😄😄
Today, Yomali & Anjana finally sealed their union with a long awaited - much postponed wedding at beautiful Potters Receptions in Warrandyte. ... despite the weather doing its best to blow us away!! Outside wedding went indoors in the beautiful Chapel. Such happiness, followed by a luncheon reception.
Felt really exciting to be working again - & just a bit nerve-wracking!! 😂😂

Wedding rehearsal at fabulous Potters Receptions in Warrandyte... such a beautiful venue. It's my first time working there (amazingly as Im only 15 minutes away in Lilydale), & I hope it won't be the last!!😀 Check out the stunning chapel, & the delightful metal sculpture on the wishing well & bannisters - breathtaking. Can't wait till my Couple say " I do" next sunday 😁

Wonderful beach wedding on a glorious sunny day at the Bathers Pavillion in St Kilda. A terrific venue, with stunning views across the Bay. Normandy joins Colombo, as Charlotte & Nestor were married in front of international & Australian friends & Expats. Reception on the deck, & inside in a large reception area. Terrific staff. A fabulous, simple , joyful occasion 😀 as they celebrated with their Aussie" family 😆😁😁

Beautiful wedding at Zonzo in the Yarra Valley earlier this year. Lindy & Mac sealed their Vows in the fabulous chapel with their two gorgeous children attending as ringbearer & flowergirl. A wonderfully relaxed, family wedding with many a laugh (what's the old saying about being upstaged by kids & dogs? 😀), full of love & happiness.
Amazing views, & cloudscape, & a very chilly wind! Guess who forgot her jacket? Brrr...

Lovely venue, terrific Staff - what more could we ask for? 😁

Looking for acountry style wedding close to home? Gum Gully Farm in Silvan is perfect! It's also a working farm with a a children/schools attachment where kids can be hands on with the animals. And as a wedding venue it's simply stunning: filled with antiques and rustic-plus. Lovely staff.
Tara & Matthew celebrated their big day there in a simple, beautiful ceremony, accompanied by a thunderstorm!! Very dramatic! Such a lovely day. 😊😊

What have a Barking Owl, a Tawny Frogmouth and an Ibis got to do with a wedding??? Healesville Sanctuary, that's what! !! 😁 A wonderful, happy afternoon, as Deborah & Colin combined their 30 Year Anniversary with a surprise wedding before Family & Friends. ..so much fun. Part of the afternoon was a 'meet & greet' with 2 of the Sanctuary residents, Millie the Owl, & the Frogmouth (forgotten her name) who hates other birds! A passing Ibis also dropped by to check out the catering 😀 Such a great venue, wonderfull food, DJ Mark, Croquet on the lawn, & lovely Staff...altogether a fabulous time with a difference! Fab way to spend a Saturday 😃

A venue that is pure class!! Jess and Mark tied the knot at beautiful Alowyn Gardens, in Yarra Glen. Acres of stunningly varied gardens + a Nursery and Café... treat yourself! A fitting venue for a stunning bridal party - romantic in the extreme; nothing like entering through an arch covered in glorious Lilac, bordered by formal Gardens and a magnificent fountain. The photo possibilities are endless. 2 gorgeous young people pledging their love, surrounded by nature in all its splendour. A lovely, happy day.

I recently did a wedding for a beautiful couple in Clyde, at there home. A simple, short ceremony full of joy & happiness. Their love bridges Iran to the Philippines, to Australia. Kim came here as a child with her family, & is now an Australian citizen. Amin arrived as a refugee on a boat with his brother, leaving their family in Iran - they haven't seen their Parents for some years. Both now have sent roots deep into Australia. It constantly delights & amazes me at the serendipity of the Universe - incredible that they met at all!! May they always be happy together......😊😊

If you're still looking for your Celebrant for a wedding this year , then it's time to make a decision!! With only 40 or so weekends in a year that accommodate weddings, & hundreds of Couples planning their big day you have to be quick!! I would love to see you through to that wonderful moment when you say "I do", so don't leave it to the last moment or we could miss each other ...... I'd hate that 😶😶😶😶

It was a case of "Signing in the Rain" yesterday at wonderful Saladin Lodge in Narbethong😁 On one of the wettest weekends we've seen, Tilly & Shane moved their ceremony space from the bottom of the hill near the lake to outside the Lodge, with fingers crossed that the clouds would clear - which they did for a while, then returned to finely drizzle on us as the Bride apoeared...sigh. Gotta laugh 😃... This is a fabulous venue: beautiful views, & a stone fireplace & huge reception hall inside. Razed to the ground in the last terrible fires, owner, Kim, has rebuilt & carried on. Friendliest staff you'll ever meet, & divine homemade food - I love my job 😊😊😊

Victoria is blessed with a wealth of wonderful parks providing free venues for your wedding, & one of the most special is Serenity Point in the National Rhododendron Gardens, Olinda. And at this time of year, the Rhodi's are magnificent! Gabby & Peter pledged their vows surounded by their loved ones under the fabulous shell looking out across the Yarra Valley .... superb!! Do yourself a favour & visit.

Today I was the celebrant for Bushra & Waqar doing the Civil legals at their ceremony, which also had a religious ceremony., at Setaeesh Reception Hall in Dandenong. I love multicultural weddings - so far I've managed to say "Welcome " in at least 5 languages ! When I was doing my training, it was made clear that a celebrant's dress should never outshine the Bride - well there was no hope of that with Bushra's gorgeous outfit - I felt quite dowdy!!

Winter weddings can be spectacular, especially when up in Snow Country. Holmesglen at Eildon is a wonderful venue with amazing views that can change in the blink of an eye. Fortunately, we were inside as there was snow on the mountains, rain & hail & cold! But inside was snug & warm, with lots of love around, and fires lit in the the main rooms as Courtney & Daniel made their commitment to each other. Add terrific staff & some winter sunshine between the cloudy bits, & it couldn't have been more romantic & beautiful 😊

Wonderful gentle funeral today at Bunurong Memorial Park. The grounds are so beautiful, family friendly with play & Bbq facilities. Stunning views over lake & fountains to St Lazarus Church & the Sanctuary. Crane Funerals were in charge, such lovely people to work with.
