I'd like to tell you about a little side-hustle that I've been sitting on for a while. It's called Matt Basic.

As the name suggests, it's just the basics: no frills live acoustic music for birthdays, pubs, wineries, bars - that sort of thing. Just me and my guitar. Easy to book, not to mention affordable.

I'll be servicing an area within an hour of where I live. So the Western suburbs of Melbourne, across to Macedon, up to Castlemaine, and over to Ballarat.

Of course, Matt Black Entertainment will always be there to help for all the rest of your entertainment needs.

It's always a bummer to have to tell you we can't set up our powered system in the open for your wedding reception.

Some venues don't have an undercover area outside. In the past some of our couples have had to stuff around hiring and setting up a gazebo.

No longer. We'll do it for you.

Yep, as an optional extra to your booking, we'll bring a quality, sturdy gazebo, set it up securely on site, and pack it down at the end of the event. You won’t have to worry about a thing.

They come with mesh or solid walls, and enough space to fit most of our lineups - from a soloist or DJ right up to our four piece band.

Yes and you’re most welcome to huddle under it with us. Just leave a song request or two.

Melissa & Matt's wedding was loads of fun, with the kids keeping me on my toes with requests at the start, and this lot providing the entertainment later on. There was so much hilarious dance floor footage from this wedding that I couldn't decide what to share. Yes that's the groom with his shirt off. 😂 Our DJ Scott came down from Echuca for this one, and absolutely killed it like he always does. Doesn't hurt when your newlyweds are so cool and easygoing - a dream to deal with from start to finish. Congratulations Laura and Gareth!
