Happy Tuesday! I am back up and running again after surgery recovery, thank you to everyone that sent well wishes and loads of support.. today saw the first drop of fresh flowers arrive.. hope you all have a great day!

I had the great privilege to create flowers for a beautiful lady last week, I knew I was still on leave from surgery, but I also knew this was something I just had to do and what an honour it was to do this for not just her but also a beautiful family, Rest in Peace Grace 🩷

Cancer Journey Update - There have been a few people reaching out with love and support and asking how I am doing, so after a weeks worth of healing and now coming good after also a week of nausea, vomiting, dizziness and headaches, although headaches are still with me due to my neck and back out of place.. Today was just 1 day over week ago I was in for surgery to have the cancer on my face removed, when I got into the operating room, the decision to change direction was to have another graft, something I was wanting to avoid as was my surgeon, but little did we know that just in that short month of waiting for the operation the cancer had grown quite considerably bigger then expected, hence pulling skin back was going to not work… I’ve spent the last week being a couch potato as I wasn’t allowed to lift or do anything and with all the other sickness I really did not feel like it anyways, thank goodness for beautiful friends who have helped me so much this past week.. today we took the dressing off the graft site and stitches out and I have to say it was putrid smelling, embarrassing really, but due to old blood etc this is what happens, I guess it could be worse.. the surgeon was extremely happy, good blood supply etc and thinks that over time hopefully we will barely see it..I have to be extremely careful going forth, I am also Cancer Free, taking wider margins then needed, but he got it all, thank goodness.. To be told also today you can have a full shower and wash hair properly was like winning the lottery, amazing what we take for granted, especially the little things.. I know the pictures maybe graphic for some, but as I always bang on, if this makes you get your skin checked, even 1 person reading this then my job is done.. here’s hoping this is the last cut in my face 🤞thank you to all of you for the love, thoughts, prayers and messages of telling me to stay strong 😘😘😘 Joy xx

The update, I had surgery this past Monday, sadly the cancer was bigger then what was expected, so that meant another graft to which I was hoping to avoid, I can only hope that my body does not reject it..

Still a long way to go.. so if your reading this and have not had your skin checked please do so..

I am now Closed as I embark on Cancer Surgery next week and recovery.. Willow on the Lane will be back up and running as soon as possible.. for now I need to focus on what is ahead, healing and a little break.. I look forward to seeing you all on my return!! Thank you to you all!!
