Christmas Cupcake Piping Class

Dec 16th 6:30-8:30pm

Head to to grab your tickets!

You will walk away with a box of treats you have decorated yourself and a whole bundle of knowledge about creating different designs, with the confidence to try again at home!
Learning outcomes:
- how to make buttercream, including colouring and flavouring
- learn how to fill a piping bag easily, with no mess
- hands on experience to pipe basic rosettes, stars and more with a variety of nozzles
- lots of Christmas themed decorations to use.
What's included:
- six pre-baked cupcakes in a carry box
- a take home recipe booklet for the cupcakes and icing
- ongoing support for your baking endeavours through an exclusive Facebook group.
- a DELICIOUS brunch is included in the cost of this workshop! Drinks are available for purchase.
Children aged 12+ can take part in this class, if accompanied by a full-paying adult, both require tickets. Unfortunately we can not cater for younger children as bystanders or taking part.

The dreaded cafe interview or client meet up at home is a thing of that past! Step into the future with BCQ!

We get it, the rules have changed and working from home is a huge part of our work life now BUT the need to still interact with people in person hasn't changed. So let us take the stress out of interviews, meetings and more. Why not hire out one of our offices that comes with a fully equipped domestic kitchen, accessible toilet & ample parking instead?

With a 30min bump in and 30min bump out time included in your booking for no extra cost you can take the rush out of it and have the professional look, privacy and atmosphere you need.

Our offices are available to hire Mon-Fri and come with free wifi, print, copy and fax machine as well as a whiteboard if needed.

Cactus is available for office hire, podcast recording, content shoots, video recordings/calls and more. As our largest office available Cactus is a great choice for content creators.

Nic & I have been avoiding this conversation like the plague but unfortunately it is time to talk about Covid & what that means for YOU when you book or visit BCQ.

Here are some of our most asked questions that I hope will help ease your mind but if you still have questions at the end please let us know below or in a DM.

😷 Masks are currently MANDATORY at BCQ for the foreseeable future.

🤳 QR Code & Manual Check IN is required upon entry of the premesis and is located at the front door.

💉 Proof of Vaccination is NOT currently required to attend BCQ however IF this changes and a new mandate is instated we will let you know.

👯‍♀️ Capacity Rules: Under current covid mandate there are no changes to our capacity.

💳 Contactless payments ONLY. For sound-boarding days we will have a square reader available to take payment for those of you that normally pay via cash.

❌ Cancellation Policy: In the event that your booking needs to be cancelled due to covid we will hold your deposit & reschedule your booking to a new date. If your date is unable to be rescheduled due to special circumstances a full refund will be issued.

What we are doing:
😷 Wearing masks & social distancing
🧴 Hand Sanitation stations
🧼 Daily Deep Cleans as-well as surface cleaning between each booking.

Are you comparing your biz success with others you see online? Do you feel like you're not doing 'enough"

Hmmm well, you're not alone.

We are constantly being told "what to do, so we can be successful"

I call b *t!! Success is a personal measure and comes in so many forms. Your business is an extension of you, so why are you trying to be someone else?

No doubt there are proven tactics and steps that will help you achieve your goals and there are plenty of experts out there to help you and mentor you through those steps if you're stuck.

But, the reason for this post is to remember your why...

Is your business a side gig, a passion project, a hobby? If so, then that's totally okay and you can give yourself permission to steady the reigns and make sure that whenever you're working in your biz you're having fun, always being true to you and your why.

In the words of the great Dr Suess,

"Today YOU are you, that is truer than true. There is no-one alive who is Youer than You"

If you want your biz to be the main income source, then that's a whole lot more steps, and that's okay too.

There's no right here, when you know your why, hobby v 7 figure $$$ then that's when you match your energy, time and resources to suit.

Go forth in 2022 with a clear why, and you'll be a success xx

Let's get creative!

Nic & I had so much fun last year learning new skills at some of the workshops at BCQ and we cannot wait to see what new things we will learn in 2022.

Last year brought us calligraphy, cookie decorating, macrame, gift wrapping & tag writing, Christmas wreaths, Floral arrangements, tie dye, clay, pot painting and more!

We want to make 2022 even bigger and better so tell us what WORKSHOPS we can bring to you this year? What have you been dying to learn. Five things Nic & Sarah have in common

1. We HATE Tinsel with a passion! There will be NO tinsel in our houses this year! Interestingly both our husband LOVE Tinsel suffice to say Christmas is a battle of the wills 🎄

2. Shoes are optional 🤷‍♀️ You will regularly see us with no shoes on at BCQ (drop a 🙋🏻‍♀️ if you have already seen us with no shoes on here)

3. We each have three kids 🥴 Nic had three kids under 5 (16,15,12) Sarah had three kids under 6 (6,3,1)

4. We are both Married 👰🏻‍♀️ Nic was married in 1999 Sarah was married in 2020

5. We are both creatives 👩🏻‍🎨 Nic loves to paint and even did a commissioned piece once that ended up in the paper & Sarah loves to dance and is an ex competitive ballroom dancer.

🌲Eco Friendly Christmas 🌲

This time of year it’s so easy to get caught up in the festivities & in doing so be less conscious of what we are doing to the environment. This year we tried an eco friendly present wrapping Christmas by making these few simple changes:

1.Kraft recyclables paper
2.Kraft recyclable tape
3.Twine
4.Wooden tags
5.Greenery

Super simple and still well within budget! All of these items were found and Officeworks (except the greenery which was repurposed from our mingle & jingle event).

🔥 HOT TIP 🔥If you have dried flowers for an event/party instead of throwing them out at the end of the night take some home instead to repurpose for decorating gifts/ your home or even regifting by making a cute arrangement for someone. I have a box of dried flowers & greenery at home from various events that I use throughout the year for other things!

This month we wanted to touch on Office Hire & our most frequently asked question “what’s the difference between the co-working space & The private offices to hire?”

We have two different options:

1. Private Office hire; wifi, desk, three chairs, access to toilets, kitchen & parking. There is three different offices to choose from depending on your needs, swipe to see the offices. Prices are as follows:

2 hours - $50
Half Day 4 hours - $70
8 hours - $100

You can get 30% off these prices if you wish to book our space regularly, if this interests you speak to us about purchasing a yearly membership.

2. Co-working days; wifi joint working desk area, one chair, access to toilets, kitchen & parking. This is currently held as a sound-boarding day where you can come bounce your ideas, problem solve and brain storm with fellow business owners, 3hrs once a week on a Thursday $10 pay on the day.
