So I remade this bouquet a thousand times. Well not quite but it took a few remakes to get it perfect.

Rach wanted a statement bouquet. She wanted something unusual, colorful and bold. And said the magic words “I trust you!”

This bouquet is filled with “hero” flowers. All that need to have their moment, full of interesting textures and lines. So it was one of the trickiest bouquets I’ve ever designed. I really had to pull on my 20+ years of design skills. But when it was finally done- oh my heart skipped a beat!

Having share platters at your wedding? Worried about what to put on your tables?

We designed these gorgeous flower clouds for Brooke and Whetu. They are abundant and beautiful but still leave plenty of space on the table.

Krystal and Aaron were honestly one of the nicest couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

The day before their wedding was torrential, flooding rain and Krystal reached out to all her vendors to ensure their safety working and traveling in the conditions. She even said “if you can’t make it don’t worry!” There was no way I was missing flowering up a wedding due to weather. We’ve dealt with floods bushfires and catastrophic weather and always deliver!

The lovely review they left made my day!

When Maddy booked me she sent me a surprising email… she said she booked cos she was drawn to my bouquet composition. Oh my heart sang!

You guys know I loveeeee designing bridal bouquets. They are such a huge part of the look of the day. They’re heavily photographed, and in my eyes, must be perfect.

But designing bouquets like this takes a whole lotta practice. I’m a classically trained florist. Which means I learnt to make perfectly round bouquets. Making bouquets with depth and movement was against everything I’d learnt and built my business on.

So I practiced and practiced. I used leftover flowers. I asked my beautiful friend Sandi if I could fly to Noosa to learn from her. And I practiced some more. I cried in frustration if it wasn’t right and would restart.

When someone recognizes your skill, the art you’ve been refining and books you for it.. it’s the absolute best. And now, after all those years practicing and delivering beautifully designed bouquets, I teach other florists how to make them. And it gives me so much joy.

Guess what…. If you’re getting married at The Stables, Bendooley Estate, you don’t have to decorate the ceremony ring.

Crazy huh!

But check out Emily and Zoe’s big day. They chose to do flowers down the aisle and it’s still so beautiful! Bonus points that we could repurpose these florals to the ends of the tables at the reception.

And let’s be honest. The ring is huge, it takes a massive amount of flowers and labour and it’s going to be a big part of your floral budget.

So if you decide not to flower it up, you’ll still have a beautiful ceremony space. And we can focus your floral budget on the reception space. Cos that’s where the fun happens!

Dainty and whimsical was the vibe for Georgia and Lintyns Greyleigh wedding.

Georgia requested a petite bouquet with pops of dusty blue and pink to compliment the bridesmaids lemon dresses.

The ceremony in the secret garden was designed keeping the view in mind, with abundant plinths of flowers.

It was a riot of fresh summery colours for Bianca and Simons day at Driftwood Shed!

Thinking of bud vases for your long tables?

Lots of couples chose bud vases for long tables, which is super beautiful. But flower clouds have so much bang for buck!

You can space them down the table to leave room for share platters, and still have an abundant tablescape

And for the couple sitting amongst your guests, pop a super bougie cloud in front of you. It looks amazing in photos and hey, it is your day after all!

Eileen and Nic requested a gorgeous ground arbour full of dainty blooms to frame their ceremony, stunning! 😍

But when we heard it was predicted temps of 43c … we had to think of alternatives!

So instead of a ground arbour that would have very likely wilted quickly, we spoke to Eileen about pivoting the design to adapt to the conditions!

We decided to recreate the idea using vases to give those delicate blooms the most hydration.

Repurposing your Ceremony Florals 💕
Relocating your Ceremony Florals is a great way to add more florals to your reception without adding more cost to your florals!
Some Great Spots to Repurpose are:
- Behind Your Bridal Table
- Dancefloor!
- Photo Booth!
Just Remember not all florals are able to be repurposed, if you are wanting to repurpose your florals make sure you let your florist know prior to your wedding day!
