Last show we hosted before the 'rona was January 2020. We had the amazing Lande Hekt over in Jeugdhuis Tijl.

Her phenomenal debut album 'Going to Hell' finally dropped last week. Check it out if you haven't yet. ✌

"It won't be this bleak forever, yeah right!"

This one hurts. What was supposed to be our final show ever is now cancelled. The Menzingers and Spanish Love Songs won't be making it to Belgium next month (for obvious reasons). Tickets will be refunded in the next couple of days.

We don't really know what this means for us personally. This might just be the end of Midwestern Sessions as is or we might pick up a final goodbye show / party somewhere along the road. Right now we don't really know (or care tbh).

In the meantime we'd like to use our platform one more time to ask you to go and chuck some bucks towards other independent venues / promoters / bands / record stores if you can afford it. They could use it now more than ever.

On the 1st of May 100% of fees for releases bought on bandcamp will be waved and all money will go straight to the artist. Go buy Spanish Love Songs and The Menzingers fantastic last albums. Same for other bands you've seen play our stages over the years that you enjoyed. There's also a bunch of merch that can be found online.

Buy concert tickets for shows from Flood Floorshows, Mendville Shows, MCLX, Trix... for new shows that have been announced already. Order vinyl from your favourite record stores like Specialist Subject Records or Banquet Records (who are still in full service)...

But most of all. Stay safe, take care and catch you on the flippity flip! X

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that we will be announcing - what normally should be - our last ever show this week. It's been a fun 5 years, but we've come full circle. No bad feelings, no bu****it, it's just done. The line-up to this one is one we've been chasing for years and when you'll see it / know our background a little bit y'all might understand why it just makes sense as the perfect closing party for all of this madness.

Also happy to announce that it will be a co-op with Flood Floorshows who have become our best friends over the years.

Keep your eyes on this page on wednesday (11th). Hope you all come party with us one last time!

This is indeed a thank you but also a proper announcement that we're going to take a break for a little while. We're jumping on a couple of tours the next couple months and it's hard to put on shows while you're in a different city, country or continent.

(+ the rest of that tour) and for our US friends we'll be at their run with The Wonder Years too. Good chance we'll be announcing our LAST SHOW EVER in the next couple of months too so keep an eye out for that.
