Helping STARS & SPURS Gala celebrate 30 years!

For the 8th year, Proshow has proudly provided audio-visual support to this remarkable fundraising event. This year, a record-breaking $1.6 million was raised for STARS Ambulance, furthering their life-saving work and demonstrating the unwavering commitment of the community.

At the request of our client, we helped add exciting new elements to this year's Enserva's STARS & SPURS Gala!

In addition to the 100ft projection, our team utilized three 16'x9' Stumpfl screens, arranged in a triangular configuration suspended from the ceiling. The setup also included six LED pillars, both flown and ground supported, to further elevate the overall stage presence and create an immersive experience for attendees.

Over 180 members gathered at the Vancouver Convention Centre for Destination Vancouver's 121st Annual General Meeting!

The event was filled with captivating discussions and insightful presentations. Highlights included an overview of past achievements, a peek into future plans, and an expert panel featuring Mayor Ken Sim and Bridgitte Anderson, CEO of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.

During the main keynote, Royce Chwin, Destination Vancouver's President and CEO, shared an engaging presentation accompanied by the beautiful live music of Symphony 21.

As the chosen audio-visual partner, Proshow elevated the experience with a stunning 56-foot wide projection screen, creating a visually impactful and memorable event for all attendees.

Our team contributed to the elegant atmosphere by blending four 20k Barco projectors across a pair 10' x 30' screens, creating a visually captivating scene that included four 4'x4' cubes video mapped by our Dataton Watchout system's advanced warping capabilities

Organized by the National Association of Broadcasters, the annual NAB Show attracts thousands of content professionals from various segments of the broadcast, media, and entertainment industries.

Once again, Proshow had the privilege of supporting the prestigious Junos Opening Night Awards, and this year we had the pleasure of doing so in Halifax.

Over the course of the three hour work show, attendees were treated to electrifying performances by talented Canadian artists and over 40 JUNO Awards were presented, including the esteemed Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award!

Collaborating with the talented team at e=mc² events, we provided all video components of the event with support of Bespoke Audio Visual (Toronto) and Advanced Systems (Halifax).

We're honoured to continue supporting this remarkable celebration of Canadian music year after year.

This full-time job will be performed primarily at the Proshow branch office in Burnaby, BC, supporting Proshow’s sales and technical teams. Focusing on building and supporting Proshow client relationships, the successful candidate will develop event concepts and designs which incorporate client budgets and expectations, guide clients through the event ex*****on phase and take overall ownership of project to ensure the end product exceeds all expectations.

Last month, Proshow had the privilege of participating in the AV Alliance Annual General Meeting 2024 held in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa.

The meeting featured engaging keynotes delivered by various members, covering essential topics, updates from their current activities, and recognizing AV event professionals in both present and future contexts. The meeting attracted just over 100 participants from around the globe, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and experiences.

At the beginning of March, our team had the privilege of partnering with PRP to support the Canuck Place Gift of Love Gala in Abbotsford, celebrating its 10th anniversary. The event was a resounding success, raising an impressive $600,000 for Canuck Place Children's Hospice.

The gala featured a 9'x16' screen suspended above the main stage, complemented by two 9'x16' Stumpfl screens on either side, creating an engaging experience for attendees. Our custom LCD podium was utilized by speakers, featuring the event name, enhancing the occasion with an extra touch of elegance.

We are incredibly proud to have once again partnered with
Variety - The Children's Charity of BC for the annual Show of Hearts Telethon. Variety collaborates with Global BC to share inspiring stories and introduce the impact Variety donors make on BC children with disabilities and complex health needs.

Proshow has had the privilege of assisting Variety with production support for the annual Show of Hearts Telethon since our inception in 1991. During this year's telethon, our President, Tim Lang, had the honour of presenting an on-air donation of $11,300, which was raised through our Proshow / Variety fundraising campaign last year.

We’re so pleased to be part of such an incredible cause and we look forward to continuing our support for Variety and the Show of Hearts Telethon in the years to come!

Last week, from Feb 12 to 15, the Vancouver Convention Centre hosted the 2024 GLOBE Series Forum, where thought leaders, innovators, and change-makers from around the world convened to discuss and collaborate on building a more sustainable and regenerative future.

To support their AV needs, we equipped the main ballroom with a 16'x46' central screen hanging over the main stage, complemented by two 13’x24’ screens on either side effectively showcasing both the speakers and their content and immersing each attendee in the AV setup. Additionally, the connecting ballroom was transformed into an intimate lounge area, fostering engaging panel discussions and meaningful conversations among attendees.

Our exceptional people, from warehouse to Production Managers and technicians, ensured that every speaker was happy and each panel discussion and presentation ran flawlessly across both rooms, enriching the overall experience for all participants.

Kudos to everyone involved in contributing to the success of this event!

We were thrilled to support the O2E Brands annual conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre last week, providing our audio-visual support for an unforgettable experience. With over 800 Franchise Partners and their teams from across North America and Australia in attendance, the conference was filled with energy and inspiration. From captivating talks on growth and goal setting to empowering discussions on building others up, we were honoured to play a part in making this event a success.

On the final night of the conference, the same room that had hosted a week-long series of engaging conferences was transformed into a stunning gala setting. As the drapes behind our 13'x24' Fast-Fold screens were drawn back, the breathtaking Vancouver skyline was revealed, providing an unmatched backdrop for the celebration!

Last week, our team had the pleasure of attending the GO WEST conference in Edmonton, a 3-day event designed by event professionals for event professionals. It was a fantastic opportunity to network with like-minded people from across Canada and beyond, access global thought-leaders, and explore resources within our industry.

We’re honoured to have been given the opportunity to share our expertise as a panelist for the insightful Hot Takes session. The session, organized by Ignite, focused on the evolving nature of planner-supplier relationships. Our panel included industry experts Caitlin McElhorne Events Inc., and Pat Rodenburg, Catering & Conference Service Manager at The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald,
and our very own Matt Bugden.

For another year, the Vancouver Convention Centre welcomed 2000 geoscientists, prospectors, financiers, investors, suppliers, government representatives, and Indigenous partners from around the world, who gathered for the highly anticipated AME Roundup 2024.

Over four days, attendees had the opportunity to connect, exchange knowledge, and inspire the development of viable exploration projects. The conference served as a platform for meaningful conversations and innovative ideas, paving the way for a more sustainable and prosperous future.

This year again, we were excited to attend the PCMA Convening Leaders conference in San Diego.

Having the privilege to work alongside the wonderful Destination Vancouver and Vancouver Convention Centre's teams; we got to discover the latest Event Industry trends, were exposed to fascinating content, reconnected with old industry friends and met new friends. We are very grateful for the incredible experience! Looking forward to seeing the new possibilities for events in beautiful Vancouver that will come out of that extraordinary week!
