✨Orchid plants✨
I love a tastefully coloured orchid plant, and these are high on my list. A warm, copper-red orchid called Narbonne has arrived at Sweet Fern, and just for a limited time.

Orchid plants can make a great gift because they last for a long time, and if you’re a super-adult, you can get them to re-bloom each year!

These beauties fit in most 4-5” pots and are priced at $40 + HST.

✨50 Days✨
It has been 50 wonderful days of being at 387 Water St.
The past 50 days have been filled with beautiful flowers - but alongside that there have been beautiful moments of laughter, friendship, joy, tears, grief, pride, and so much more. It has been a great pleasure and honour to meet you and journey these moments together.

Thank you for showing up at 387 and trusting me to build connections through beautiful florals. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, my customers are the very best, and I’m so grateful for you!

The past 3 weeks have been a whirlwind of joy, fun, late nights, early mornings, lots of smiles and hugs, welcoming gestures, beautiful conversations, building supports and community (and a little sprinkle of stress and tears 😂).

✨The Best Day✨
Thank you to everyone who made yesterday the most lovely celebration of good people, hard work, creativity, fun, a beautiful city, community, and a vibrant downtown.

Sweet Fern Floral Studio celebrated its Grand Opening and it was honestly the most joyous and beautiful day. As steady and new customers walked through the door, I was humbled and so deeply grateful for what we’ve built together. Your love for flowers (ranunculus especially ;), creativity, art, tasty sweets, kindness, fun conversation, and supporting local businesses absolutely shone yesterday ✨ I wouldn’t be where I am today without you, and I’m dedicating my Grand Opening to each and every one of you, my valued supporters.

There was a team of absolute rockstars who helped pull things together, keep me sane and supported, and showed their expertise while building up to this important day:

✨sunshine and spring✨
I can tell that the sun has been shining because a) we’re all a little happier, and b) the flowers are a little sturdier. After a gloomy winter season, the sun is showing its face and you can see its effect in the quality of the flowers being grown. We all need the sunshine, and I’m grateful it’s been showing up a little more ☀️

I’m so excited for the month ahead!
March is a month for new growth, and I have some plans up my sleeve! First though, I’m taking a little holiday and will be closed from Saturday, March 2 - Tuesday, March 12. I’m looking forward to some relaxation and adventure, and gearing up for jumping back into work and some changes coming later in March.

✨Colour✨
My posts often have pastels and light tones, which are gorgeous, but as I scrolled through the past month of photos, this beauty full of colour stood out to me and I wanted it to have its own moment on my grid. Sometimes you just need pops of colour and fun, am I right?

This vase arrangement was a request for a special birthday party, and colour was the main request. With two-toned ranunculus, bright tulips, yellow mimosa and craspedia, and those bold blue delphinium, I think we understood the assignment ✨🙌🏻

New! These 6” GORGEOUS hellebores perennial plants just arrived and I am swooning! The hellebores are often the first to pop up in the garden, through the snow, showing off their unique bloom and beautiful foliage.

February 14th is always a little wild in the floral industry, but looking back on it with a hot coffee and resting makes me smile.
