We are excited for another wedding season coming up! We teamed up with our friend Holly Decker who helped put together a dream team of Saskatoon Wedding Vendors to give you a little inspiration for your upcoming 2024 and 2025 wedding day!
This collection of bridal portraits was captured in our Saskatoon Studio. Our inspiration required a dreamy all white space for the photography. We started by laying down white photography backdrop paper on the ground, and then added layers of hanging organza from the ceiling. This mixed with our large dual 8x8 foot windows gave the look we wanted. Why we chose this style was it allowed the florals and skin tones to pop.
We also started the idea by knowing we’d use two types of lighting. First was ambient light (what you see from the window), and then studio flash. Ambient lighting has a beautiful look that 90% of our images are photographed with. Flash or strobe lights are used here and there. This type of lighting is what gives a glam/HollyWood look to the images. Typically we reserve it for darker spaces, or venues that don’t have optimal lighting setups. If done right, it can be a beautiful tool to create portraits that are unique, and create a set of images that you would expect to see at the Oscars.
