Today’s vow renewal for James and Cara was such a meaningful experience. I performed their first wedding in July, 2019. Since then we’ve gone through Covid and James has come through a heart attack and a heart transplant. What a privilege to be able to do this with them.

I had the pleasure of pronouncing this wonderful couple married last evening. What a happy occasion and a reminder of how lucky we are to live in a country that honours same gender marriages!! I had the privilege of marrying two delightful couples this weekend. Melissa (a long time friend of my daughter) and Bryan, and Anthony and Brigid. Saturday was the perfect day for weddings, sunny and bright!

This postcard arrived today from a couple who in spite of the many obstacles they faced, managed to get married in a pandemic and have fulfilled their dream to move to Greece. It was such a pleasure to be a part of Alex and Cat’s dream and to see it fulfilled!! They’ve even invited me to look them up when I get to Greece (one of my dreams)!

Wedding season is sneaking up on us. I am so honoured to perform the weddings I am selected for and do all I can to make them special for the couple. This past weekend I pronounced the couple married in a language I am definitely not fluent in. The family was delighted and I felt fabulous for stepping out of my comfort zone for that special added touch.
