Event happening at Mel Lastman Square this week: Taste of North York (Sep 6-8) organized by NeighbourLink North York🍽️

Celebrate North York’s vibrant cultures, diverse cuisines and community connections with delicious food vendors, live music, art, dancing, kids activities and NeighbourLink’s Meet & Eat! Net proceeds support NeighbourLink’s food bank and community care programs.

The Meet & Eat located at the Reflection Pond at Mel Lastman Square includes:

🔹A patio to enjoy food and meet neighbours all weekend long – join us Friday September 6 at 7pm for a community meal with special entertainment
🔹Community Fair of local charities, organizations and clubs on September 7th & 8th
🔹Family activities including art, juggling workshops, aerial hammocks, lego-building, instrument petting zoos and robotic fields.

Mel Lastman Square is a public square located in North York, Ontario, Canada. Named after Mel Lastman, the former mayor of North York and later the first mayor of the amalgamated City of Toronto, the square is a popular community gathering spot. Situated at the North York Civic Centre, it serves as a hub for various cultural and public events, including concerts, festivals, and seasonal celebrations.⁠

The square features a reflecting pool that doubles as an ice skating rink in the winter, a large outdoor amphitheater, and plenty of green space.
