Belwade Farm is one of World Horse Welfare's four UK Rescue and Rehoming Centres. Belwade Farm is home to around 65 horses in need at any one time.

Set in the stunning countryside of Royal Deeside, Belwade is a great place to discover the charity's work first hand and spend a day with the family. Here they can undergo rehabilitation before finding loving new homes through World Horse Welfare's rehoming scheme. Why not come and meet them and find out more about the work we do to help the horses of today and tomorrow? The farm is open Wednesday

s, Saturdays and Sundays, from 11am to 4pm, and admission is £3 per person (under 5's go free). Admission includes a meet the ponies session in Hamish's Shed at 1pm (subject to staff availability). Our wonderful Highlands Bistro is open Wed-Sun, 11am - 4pm and serves lunch from 11:30am - 3pm. Our entire farm is dog friendly, so the whole family can enjoy a lovely day out! Robin had her first canter under saddle last week. We are very pleased with her progress and how well she is taking to her ridden work. 😁

Otter had one last kiss from her groom before she headed off to her new home this week. We hope she loves her new family ☺️

Nimbus and Heughie have been enjoying a nice mutual groom in the sunshine. :) ☀

Sparkie is progressing well with his rebacking and is now working in walk and trot in both the school and out hacking. Sparkie will see our physio Discover Physiotherapy to see if he is able to start canter work. Keep an eye out for updates :)

On Monday we had a visit from Vivienne Cruddace - Equine Massage Therapy who came out to massage some of our lucky ponies. 17 year old companion gelding Moocha loved his massage and can’t wait for another visit!

We are closed today ! Due to the weather our drive way and car park are still covered in snow. ⛄️

Our Shetland mares and geldings all went into the same field this week. They all had a good run around but could probably do with some more cardio as they sound a bit out of puff! 😆

3 year old Rocket thought his friends fly mask was a great toy! 😆

Snoozy Sven decided that little Mac was a great place to rest his head while having a nap. :P

During this hot dry weather, it is important to keep your horses feet moisturised. We have been making good use of our hoof oil which was very kindly gifted to us by Carr & Day & Martin.
