Hayley Howells at the crop shop St Athan has kindly agreed to hold tickets for our fabulous oktoberfest event 12th October . So they are available if you are booking an appointment or just passing 🍺 🌭
Eine Kline oompah band is a 7 piece band with lots of audience participation . Fully licensed bar with very reasonable prices and food available .

There is a consultation looking at community centres in the Vale on Thursday .
I am going ( Julie L-W) to show that they are used and relevant for the years ahead .
Can you all try to like our page and comment below with a memory of the Paul Lewis community centre. It can be a photo or just a few words
For example one of our bingo ladies commented after covid that she was glad to be back as bingo was the only night she went out and spoke to people .
I will start with a photo January panto just set up waiting for 120 people to take their seats .
My favourite thing hearing people having a good time 😀

Still a couple of spaces left for our fete on Saturday .
Please turn up by 12.30 on the day and pay on the day . £10 a stall .
All profits go towards future events like the children's Halloween/ Christmas parties

For all stallholders who are attending the fete this Saturday, you will be able to gain access from 11.30am, no access after 1.30pm. The fete starts at 2pm. If anyone else is interested in having a stall, just turn up between these times, prices from £10 . Thanks PLCC Management Committee

Thank you to everyone who supported our event last night
Unfortunately again it was not enough . We try very hard to put on fantastic evenings often free entry only to not get the people through the door.
Again we had 700 interactions on adverts around our event and only needed 10% of those but we don't
Our community centre is council owned and volunteer run and as we know the council are under severe budget restrictions .
The upkeep of the frame of the building is paid for by the council , decoration , inside furniture etc is done by us .
There will be consultations starting on 18th July . These will look into the future of our community centres .

Our council community centre team are fantastic and do a brilliant job with decreasing budgets . But we need to justify our existence

When I go into that room to defend our centre I need the backing of the residents of St Athan .
We understand family budgets are tight but we always keep prices down and it is not about money but usage of our building .

We have our fete on Saturday and the team have pulled out all the stops to make a fantastic day please support us if you can and tell a friend ( or an enemy we are not fussy )
