It's wonderful to welcome BBC Three Counties to Bedford today at Roosters on St Cuthberts Street!

We've been listening on the way to work to people's favourite things about Bedford, so far they've included parks, music and Esquires, Bedford Town Football Club, independent shops, the river, rugby club, Close Encounters comic shop and local charities!

We’re really excited to have some delicious lamb on offer!
We’ve been refining this dish for a while and finally found a balance of elements that showcase the robust meatiness of this lovely cut.
Lamb rump is from a working muscle so it’s deeply flavored as a result , cooking the lamb to a nice pink followed by a long rest perfectly shows off this super tasty, tender & richly flavored cut.

Unbeleivably good eggs from Murdoch's Free Range, the freshest seafood from GCH Fishmongers, quality meat from Lingers High Class Butchers & fab wines from The Flying Cork There’s no need to wax lyrical about , that stands to reason. However, this only works with the caveat of quality stuff and blimey! we’re lucky to have this bunch on our doorstep.

We'll be tasting 20 wines ( including a little treat at the end of the evening)

The Whisky is on the way, the Kilt is in the dry cleaners & the poetry is being rehearsed. This is a little preview snap of the scallop starter dish - the 2 purées balance the sweetness of the scallops and the peppery notes of the Stornaway black pudding.
