We will be holding another one of our charity cake cut offs sales this Saturday 31st August outside The Original Factory Shop - Bridgnorth
The stall will be manned once again by the lovely Tricia Ward-Jones and all money raised will be donated to Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith

A few weeks ago we hosted another 1-2-1 class with a previous student Elaine, as she was decorating a wedding cake. Two tier buttercream cake topped with gyp & a single rose, cakes baked by Elaine and decorated during our lesson.

We taped and secured the gyp between cake cards to ensure it didn’t come in contact with the cake, (the sap is toxic so must not be inserted into a cake) and so we could place it between each tier to give a more dramatic effect.

Fabulous cake, well done Elaine.

And thank you for my flowers x they are still going strong!

Last group done ! Thank you to all of the 300 people that came to our shop and participated in our magical cake decorating day ! We saw some fabulous costumes met some wonderful witches and wizards 🧙‍♀️ Emma, Jodie and I are off for a glass of butter beer 🍺 now !

So last weekend we attended a very special celebration. Jodie’s dearest friend Emily who she met at playgroup when they were 2, got married to the lovely Gavin and we all came together last Saturday to celebrate. Obviously we made a cake for this event. All four fruity tiers! Starting with the base tier, which was Lemon & Elderflower, then Strawberry & Lime, followed by Raspberry & White Chocolate and last but not least top tier Peach & Apricot. All covered in white chocolate ganache, then iced to look like a pile of rustic logs, to match the rustic theme of the wedding. I baked and Jodie iced, textured and hand painted all four tiers. Finishing the base tier with icing foxgloves, and finally decorated with dried fresh flowers to match the bridal flowers.

Alongside this was a four cheese rounds cake and pork pie and game pie stack, decorated with handmade sugar mice, grapes and crackers.

Wishing Emily and Gavin a lifetime of love and happiness ❤️

Four tier HP themed wedding cake !

Bridgnorth is celebrating the Birthday of a very special wizard and saying thank you for taking down the Dark Lord!

The picturesque town of Bridgnorth in Shropshire is set to transform into a magical realm on Wednesday 31 July 2024, as it comes together to celebrate the birthday of the beloved literary character, Harry Potter.
In a display of community spirit and creativity, Bridgnorth's independent businesses and vibrant creative community are joining forces to organise a series of free-to-attend events honouring the iconic wizard!

The festivities, scheduled for July 31, will include a variety of enchanting activities suitable for Witches, Wizards, and Muggles alike. Attendees can look forward to immersive experiences such as Meet the Owls, visiting Slytherins House and immersive trails across the town.

Moreover, Bridgnorth's independent businesses are rolling out the red carpet with special themed menus, hands-on activities, and Wizarding World-inspired experiences, ensuring that visitors can indulge their magical cravings and have a day they will never forget!
