We’re so excited for this week’s Show & Tell with FuseBox residents Sarah Cole and Annis Joslin. Sarah and Annis are currently in the process of developing a new art project, SHIFT, funded by Arts Council England 🎭

It all began with a 360-video made with Yael Flexer’s dance group, Acting Our Age, based at South East Dance. Together they explored improvised responses to a lazyboy chair, using a recorded audio narrative from a previously created project with survivors of domestic abuse.

Join us with Sarah and Annis on Thursday where we will be looking at ways of sharing this work-in-progress project, using projection, VR and different musical scores.

For years, LGBTQ+ characters and storylines were almost non-existent, however today, a new generation of players are changing the games industry with more inclusion and visibility.

We have exciting news! Digital Catapult and Niantic are partnering to bring a first-of-its-kind Augmented Reality programme to the UK - and next week they'll be at The FuseBox to tell us all about it...

Niantic has recently launched the Lightship Augmented Reality Developer Kit, which lowers the barriers to entry for developers to create immersive AR experiences and enables immersive startups to bring virtual content into the real world.

Join us on Monday 6th June at 5.30pm to hear more about the Augmented Reality Accelerator - with up to £100,000 funding available to the organisations with the most creative ideas.

We'll have demos of Lightship and plenty of time for questions.

Thanks so much to everyone who joined us for our Show & Tell last night.

We had an amazing time seeing what our creators have been working on - we hope you came away inspired!

We had Kevin Bacon of the Royal Pavilion & Museums Trust showing his work in progress One Minute app, which uses AI and hybrid design principles to weave bite-size storytelling into the museum visitor experience.

Our FuseBox resident, Andy Baker, demonstrated his Open Brush experience - an open-source version of Google’s iconic 3D, VR drawing application Tilt Brush

We also welcomed back FuseBox alumni, Jack Maddalena from Naurt, who showcased their amazing high-precision GPS tracking technology.

We loved seeing our FuseBox resident, Nelly Lewis, sharing her dance and mime performance work using virtual spaces in Mozilla Hubs.

And finally, we had British Superkart Champion, automotive engineer and FuseBox resident, Simon Scott, demonstrating sim racing and coaching our attendees on the race track.
