Just a quick message to say be careful of people saying they have tickets for sale and offering them for less than face value. Unfortunately there is a rise of people doing this as a scam. If you genuinely have tickets you no longer require please contact the box office and we can process them and give them to people on a waitlist. We have the names of everyone who buys a ticket. The last few people who have left these types of messages have barely used pages or don't even appear to be in this country or have links to Sawston.

Next and Soon at Sawston Cinema

We have some interesting screenings scheduled at Sawston Cinema in the Marven Centre:

On 25th January we are showing the highly acclaimed Dear England, NT Live's recording of the original Olivier Theatre production of the new play by James Graham, which is directed by Rupert Goold and stars Joseph Fiennes as Gareth Southgate in a gripping examination of both nation and game.

On 1st February we are teaming up with 2G3S to present Pure Clean Water, a film which won best documentary at the most recent Cambridge Film Festival and which explores the impact of Cambridge's growth on the local water supply. The screening will be attended by the film's director, Tony Eva and there will be a discussion following the film.

To find out more about these screenings, to see what else we have in store this term and to book tickets, go to: www.sawstoncinema.org.

NUMINOUS the mind behind the Village Colleges

The Marven Centre, Cambridge, CB22 3BP
Wed 29th June 2022

Numinous is a humorous look at the life and times of twentieth-century educationalist Henry Morris, using his own words, and told with objects from the period.
Morris’s vision transformed ideas about learning and community. This is a story of big dreams, determination, and resilience, in the face of resistance to change
A show for anyone, like Henry, who wants to leave the world better than they found it.

Written and performed by Andy O’Hanlon
Directed by Iestyn Evans
Dramaturgy: Geoff Bowyer and Alicia Britt

Length: 55 minutes
