It’s been a whirlwind of a month, our house has been like picadilly circus with friends and family coming to see Billy. We now have some quiet days just the three of us - even a little time to admire these buttery primroses

On the 19th January, the coldest day of the year, baby Billy arrived at 6:43 in the evening. He was a beautiful and pretty hefty chunk at 8.3llb. We are finally home and loving every minute of his cuddles 🤍

A week of cold and quietness have given me days to scrawl back through the archives. These little winter buttonholes from a wedding during covid seems like a million years ago now - cranberry colours and velvet ribbons are a perfect winter combination

Last night I got to see my great friends , & at Ella & Anna’s paint and print exhibition (their beautiful work in my stories). Took me straight back to these great days together, five years ago, working on ’s masterpieces and having a total ball! We’ll have to dig out ‘the’ van photo but here’s a bit of the magic Kirstie envisaged at our favourite 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

A less obvious autumn palette and a purple challenge I ended up loving a lot - made in my flower room last October for one of my mums oldest friends. Nicky & Steve’s wedding was at The Pig and really pretty lovely.

The season has come to an end 🍂
Usually at this time of the year, there’s a little lull in events which allows us to plan and organise a busy Christmas season. It’s all a bit different this year though, being only a couple of months away from meeting our little babe, I won’t be making our Christmas wreaths this year. I’m keeping my beady eye out for other beauties so will definitely make recommendations as the season gets into full swing (keep an eye out on my stories).

Over the next few months, during these quieter days, I’ll be going back through the photo rolls to share some of my favourites over the last year or so, some that haven’t even made it here but are real crackers!

Firstly, one for this time of year, with my favourite at the best and most beautiful venue . Autumn is my favourite season and St Giles does it so well - a dusty terracotta mansion, log fires in every room, partially undone interiors, frosty grounds - it’s pretty perfect!

Our last workshop in my lovely flower room before we flip it into the baby’s room - a new happy chapter around the corner. Today’s workshop flowers grown by the amazing and arranged beautifully by our guests from Mexico, Mercedes (ma) & Mercedes (daughter) ❤️

My Ma taught me how to cook seasonally! Last night over supper, she even told us a story of when she was a little girl she would go out into the fields and forage for mushrooms to sell to the local corner shop for a sixpence. So I thought today I thought I’d show you how to cook this deliciously luxurious wild mushroom and pancetta risotto. It’s so flavoursome, earthy and salty and a real celebration of wild mushrooms! It’s also not too tricky, just lots of stirring so don’t take your eye off the pan for too long! I hope you enjoy! Any tips and tricks as always, let me know! Bon appetite! 💋

After our move back to London, having had the most lovely time in the countryside things have been a little busy and I’ve been missing the new slow pace of life we learnt to live by. I’m starting to adopt this way of living into our city life and trying my hardest not to go back to 100 miles an hour. Yesterday, I took a quiet moment to show you how to create an Ikebana arrangement. Ikebana is a Japanese way of flower arranging. It’s a celebration of nature, the perfect imperfections of something natural. It focusses on negative space, simplicity and the delicacy of your materials. It looks almost like a dainty sculpture growing from its bowl, beautiful and elegant. It’s also total heaven to do and leaves you feeling very peaceful and relaxed so give it a go if you’re wanting a little moment of calm 💕

and a few bluebells that had come up in the garden in scattered spots. They became the stars of the show (or at least the little brass bowl at our supper table). Everything else was from the garden or locally grown so hopefully it’ll be easy for you to find and make too! There’s no recipe for this one and no specific ingredients. It requires a little imagination and a beady eye, just look for the little things...🦚💙🌿🐚💎

Time is flashing by but we’re busying away getting everything ready for the wedding!! . I’ve finally designed the church and sent the drawings off to my absolute fave girl @rubyandthewolf_ who I’m SO LUCKY to have flowering the wedding with the gorgeous @indigoyardfloral & @ellakohnfloral, my beautiful flower girls! 🌸👯‍♀️💕 . Two and a half weeks to go @alexdixon92, and counting! 💕👰🏻🤵🏼 . Plus this pretty bowl of Spring from a couple of weeks ago has now been made into confetti! Recycling! 💁🏻‍♀️
