Please remember this weekends lurcher, terrier and whippet show is cancelled due to the severe wet conditions of the field.

This makes it not safe for the dogs and there owners and not to mention the untold damage it would do to the fields with veichles parking, footfall from competitors and there dogs and the mess machinery will make towing people on and off (it’s that wet)

Hopefully many of you would have had enough time to find another event to attend and we wish you all a good and safe weekend 🐶🐾

April 13/14th lurcher terrier and whippet show is cancelled.

Unfortunately with the field being on clay land it is just to waterlogged and has never been dry since the September show, so we have made the decision to cancel the show to preserve the show field for future events and for health and safety reasons.

We haven’t been able to get on to cut the field and with our car park also being in the field it would result in a muddy mess, veichles stuck and a lot of damage to repair for the next event so it’s just not feasible

Hopefully this gives folks 2 weeks notice to see if there is any other shows on up and down the country

💪💪👌👌🇬🇧 shaping up to be a cracking first show of the 2024 season

Event news, 2024 dates for our shows and events will be getting released on the 1st of January

The first event of the year will be the lurcher, terrier, whippet and fun dog show 🐶👌2 day event with added terrier maze, and dog scurry

Trade stands welcome, camping will be available,

As I said a few months ago we are putting together a team to help with the smooth running of the dog shows so if people are still interested in helping out drop me a message again to confirm.

We will also in 2024 be hosting another exciting event that will make us as far as I’m aware only the second place in the uk to offer it, FALCON RACING 🦅🦅. This is very exciting for us and more information will be released about this in January this will be a cash prize event.

Big things coming from in 2024 that’s for sure.

I hope many of you will support the events and shows again in 2024

❌❌❌FIREWORKS CANCELLED ❌❌❌

Skiddle will send emails out and refunds within 48hrs,

due to the strong wind gusts forecast 25mph (insurance will not cover us above 20mph for health and safety reasons) this along side the fact it is forcast non stop heavy rain all day due to the storm, it would just be a massive health and safety risk, and our customers safety is of the upmost importance to us.

We have spent all day watching various weather forecasts in the hope that it would change and it did but for the worst.

We hope you understand and we would appreciate it if you could share this post

We have gems diner providing food again, they really do have the best burgers 🍔 in town at an affordable price, they are also providing a fantastic sweet stall 🍬🍫🍩🍭 and kids ride 🎠

We also have kids lights available on the night to 🌈🔦

Please note there will be still noise with some fireworks from when they set off and there will be some crackles and pops but they are all low noise.

But feel free to bring headphones for your children just in case.

Don’t forget to bring wellies 🥾 as it will get muddy ☔️💧and a water proof coat just in case it rains

We are putting together a team with designated roles for each person for future 💥Charnock House Farm Field Events 💥lurcher, terrier and whippet shows to ensure the smooth running of each show and so I don’t have to worry about each different section.

This is not a paid job however it will come with a few bonuses, lots of alcohol 🍺fully paid for “staff meals” 🥩 🍔 as well as country/fieldsports related outings being offered as a Thankyou (ferreting, fishing, duck flights, walked up rough shooting, sea fishing)

2024 👀👀

We will hold 3 lurcher terrier and whippet events next year, we have very very kindly been donated a prize for the 3rd and final show next year, BUT you will have to have attended one of the other 2 shows to qualify and it will be based of a points system run over all 3 events.

£500 cash for the coursing/straight racing 😱
£500 cash for the showing 😱

The person with the most points in coursing/racing at the end of the last September show will win and the same goes for the showing🏆🇬🇧🔥👌

As we all no this sort of money can help out a lot so I’m sure just like me you will think that’s an amazing thing to be donated 🤩

⭐️⭐️⭐️Spring show Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of April ⭐️⭐️⭐️ get them dates locked in ready

Plenty time for us to prepare for this one 💪you all saw what can happen with 2 months of planning so just wait for this one with a 7 months of planning

We will potentially hold a couple get togethers for straights/coursing during the winter as we have just ordered 2 lure machines, these will be fun events but at the same time still able to win rosettes and trophies and will be the same as what’s just been £2 per entry 🐶🇬🇧🏕️

Some absolutely cracking dogs shown over the weekend, everyone should be proud of themselves no matter if you placed or not, there was some real competition both working dogs and show dogs.

And it was absolutely brilliant to see so many people taking part in the fun dog show, 146 dogs entered over the various fun dog classes over the Saturday and Sunday.

The straight racing and coursing was next level, some very very close finishes and everyone should be extremely proud of themselves and there dogs, a big well done to everyone who took part this weekend.

Cracking weekend, few hiccups but nothing to major🏕️🎠🏆🇬🇧🍺

Luna got reserve champ yesterday in puppy straights so happy with that, showing her new collar of from Strongstuff Dog Gear🇬🇧💪🔥

Straights today just like yesterday was smashing, some very close races as you can see from the photos I’ve put up, some top class dogs racing this weekend and some proper competition, was brilliant to see, and the course was set out smashing as per, not bad for there first time running the lure themselves, was spot on Tom Walker and Jamie Walker👌👌

Show rings today was good, some very nice dogs entered, was good to see some stiff competition in some of the classes and everyone seemed fairly happy, was nice to see judges actually judging the dogs and not the people stood behind them so a big Thankyou to the judges and and jamie for calling out the lurchers🔥🔥🐶

Big thanks to Arron walker, and Jordan Crank for manning the pulleys on yesterdays coursing much appreciated,

Big Thankyou for Mark Finnerty for manning the pulleys yesterday and stepping in on the ferrets, again much appreciated and very helpful so Thankyou mate.

Big thanks to the stalls that gave us the chance and came to support us, much appreciated and I hope you had a successful weekend.

Big thanks to Photography by Savannah for taking photos even though my pup got distracted and abandoned her race to come say hi 🤣🤣🤣

And most of all Thankyou to everyone that have us a chance and attended both yesterday and today, I hope you all had a good weekend and we did you proud, without you guys giving us a chance and supporting us it wouldn’t of been possible

We have unfortunately had to drop gmj leather from our list of stalls with immediate effect.

There will still be other stalls there selling dog collars and leads and we have had some donated for prizes from Paul Sullivan , it’s shaping up to be a good one 💥💥👌👌👌
