• V E I L H A C K • As you’ll know I’m a big fan of metal veil combs + bridal hairstylists tend to favour them over nylon combs (back me up here hair stylist pals!). Here’s a further reason to choose metal over nylon – if your hair is thick, or the veil requires extra anchorage, for example, if your it’s heavily embellished or super long, then the veil comb teeth can be separated + then held in place with bobby pins. Creating a veil for a fellow wedding professional can be a wee bit daunting but wedding MUA Nadia was the loveliest bride + pretty much knew what she wanted which was a bespoke version of our SOFIA - a chapel length drop veil in soft silky tulle embellished with our signature floating pearls.
Nadia decided to have her veil made without any attachment so she could then adjust the length of the blusher. The veil would be secured in place with pins, pushed through the veil + into Nadia’s updo.
Over to Nadia “Heather!!! I finally got to see my beautiful veil today at the dress shop for my fitting. It is beyond gorgeous and I couldn’t be happier with it!!! It’s so soft and the perfect length/ the pearls looks fab!!! Thank you SOOO much. Can’t wait to send you the pics on the day”

As each veil is made to order, you can choose where we place the petals.
Here are a few things to consider:~
~ Jewellery - think about where would you like the petals to begin. They look very pretty framing your face but if you’ve chosen statement earrings or necklace, you may prefer the petals to begin further down
~ Positioning of veil - if you position the veil mantilla-style on the crown of your head, the petals will frame around your face
~ Hair styling - if you’re going for a loose style, the petals look amazing scattered across your waves
~ Dress embellishment - if your dress has detailing or embellishment at the top with a plain skirt, we can begin the petals at waist height + culminating in more density at the end. Or … if your dress is embellished all over, we can scatter petals just along the edges + across the veil window.

A beaded veil top is an option If you’re not having hair jewellery or you fancy a bit of extra embellishment.
I can bead the top of your veil with beads, crystals, pearls, lace - anything! I can use my own beads or I can use offcuts from your dress or crystals and pearls to tie in with your jewellery.

Can we just take another moment for the not-so-humble bridal cape?
Such a huge trend which is set to continue + I’m happy with that - I just love them!
As with my veils, each cape is made to order so it can be any colour, length, width or embellishment you choose. Also, a lovely idea is to save offcuts from your dress alterations which can the. be used to embellish the cape at the shoulders.
